We ordered and assembled our new Hudson cabin in October last year and are now waiting for the better weather so that we can start enjoying it. I am a complete novice when it comes to working with wood and borrowed the services of a nearby friend to help. Rememeber that wood is a natural product so you will have some warped peices however once assembled everything settles down and the quality is excellent especially the double glazed units for the windows and doors. The most time consuming process was fixing the tiles on the roof and treating all of the external timber but this is essential and finishes the cabin off beautifully. I did loads of research on the web and Dunster ticked more boxes than anyone else for the price.

A good quality item. Delievered on time and in full with nothing missing or broken. Took me and the father in law 2 days to assemble (base aleady done). Took our time and followed the instructions and all went well. Had the roof on including red shingles by the end of day one but no doors, any glazing or floorboards inside and finsihing parts not in. This took about 10 hours in all. Treated cabin and has survived the winter without any damage.

Very pleased with this item, assembly was straightforward and easy.
Preperation of base is essential for fast/easy assembly.
In short a good well priced product.

Well 4 weeks on, it's up, and I guess it is the right time to reflect on my purchase.
From the minute the delivery turned on time I could not conceal me excitement when the covers were peeled off to reveal a vast expanse of beautiful planned timber.
The drivers were helpful, my brother in law arrived on time to help, and we had it stacked carefully in the allotted space in the garden ready for assembly.
It had passed through my mind the night before, what if this is wrong?, what if that doesn't arrive, what do we do if we do not receive ?if....
Within 2 hours we had it erected to a height that required step ladders....and so we worked on to 8 O'clock that evening, completing all of the frame work together with the purlins.
The next day we cracked it! We cut out the side windows adjusted the doors and tweaked the windows.
3 further days saw us complete the roof shingles paint it green and add the guttering and complete the internal wiring for sockets and lights.
My new desk has just arrived and as of tomorrow I can start using it as my office. I say "my office" because my son has moved his gym equipment in on the left hand side and is referring to the log cabin as "the gym".
Gym, Office...call it what you will...it looks great, is beautifully crafted and has drawn many admiring glances from neighbours and family.
