My 5m X 4m Severn Sunlight cabin was delivered by a very helpful driver exactly when I expected it, well done. The lorry load of timber looked a bit of a challenge but the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I had help with the initial erection as it took two of us to slot the 5m long timbers into place, and two of us to lift the insulated roof panels. After that it was easy to complete alone. The kit contained a spare of every piece of timber and the only thing I purchased over and above that supplied was extra nails for the floor and roof boards, my choice as I used two nails in each board at every rafter where one would probably have done.
Like others I looked at several different manufacturers cabins before deciding on Dunster House and one of the main deciding factors was the quality of Dunster House door and window fittings. The double glazing is full width (same as my house windows) between panes unlike all others I looked at, all doors and windows have draught excluding seals fitted and the door and window furniture is good quality and locking (again similar to my house doors and windows).
I opted for both floor and roof insulation which together with the double glazing make the cabin very warm.
I have no hesitation in recommending Dunster House cabins and am now a very happy owner.

To clarify for other customers looking at this product, the standard double glazing which is included with any 45mm or insulated wall log cabin is a 14mm thick sealed unit and the double glazing included with any Premium Plus upgrade is a 28mm thick sealed unit. I researched for a long time various companies that produce log cabins kits and I am so glad that I chose Dunster House. The price wasn't the cheapest but equally it was well done the list as far as costs are concerned; but the great thing about their products is the quality of materials, its preparation, the instructions for installation and the customer service.
Various people in the village who have seen it, including tradesmen such as the electrician who fitted the lighting etc, couldn't believe how good it was for the price...he has now bought one for himself and I know of at least two others who are contemplating doing the same. One key element was the lack of planning permission needed due to the sensible height...of course they would have to satisfy other aspects such as the size compared to the plot of garden it is located on....any commission available????
Anyway, well done Dunster House.

I think this cabin is outstanding value for money.
It took quite a while to build on my own due to very complicated instructions, but the finished product is great. There were some problems with missing parts etc, but the customer service is outstanding, and all got solved and shipped very quickly.
All in all, a good product, but do not underestimate the time needed to build it.
