Will Solar products work in the UK?

Yes! All our Solar products utilise radiation from the Sun. This means that even on an overcast day, depending upon if the Sun's radiation is high enough, you can still be using our products to provide heat and light. Here at Dunster House^® all our products are thoroughly tested before they become available to our customers. The pictures below show readings from tests on our Solar Air Heater carried out on the 8th April 2010 and the 13th March 2010. Our Solar Lighting products have been tested at our head offices in Bedford and in our display garden.

Solar radiation levels are measured in kW/m² or W/m². Daylight being measured from 120 W/m² to higher irradiance level in North African countries in excess of 2000 W/m² during summer time.

Quite simply, the higher the irradiance levels, the more heat is generated for our Solar Air Heaters and it's use as a Solar Air Dehumidifier is more effective as the low pressure fan produces higher levels of air generation.

Our PV Panels are directly related in efficiency to reasonable levels of irradiance and to gain best benefit we use Amorphous panels as they are more efficient in Northern European countries.
