RapidPad Foundation for African Thatched Gazebos

We supply Hot Dipped Galvanised metal Brackets as standard with your Gazebo which allows you to attach the gazebo down to an existing hard level base if you have one. If you’re looking to place the gazebo onto a site which is currently grass or similar then our RapidPad™ system (available at an extra cost) allows you to do this with minimum digging out (just 40mm down under each pad) and with a quick and easy levelling system.

At Dunster House® we have been searching for a practical solution to the ideal foundation system dilemma for some time. After looking at all the different options available to our customers, we decided the best thing to do was to design and launch our very own! Our fully adjustable, portable RapidPad™ foundation system (Registered Design, Patent Pending) is ideal for our range of African Thatched Gazebos, as well as being used on our Log Cabins and Garden Offices and is available at an extra cost.

The RapidPads™ offer many benefits over the conventional method of concreting in each of the posts, concrete is bulky and labour intensive in both mixing and moving it, typically taking up to 3 days to set and is difficult to level. Also setting wooden posts into concrete is very detrimental to the lifespan of the timber due to being in constantly wet conditions which causes decay and rot even with pressure treated timbers.

With a RapidPad™ system you can very quickly and easily give your African Thatched Gazebo a solid base that will last as long as the Gazebo will – we cover the RapidPads™ with a 12 year Warranty. With RapidPad™ you’re getting a product specific system that slots into the bottom of each post to prevent lateral movement which can be covered over with stone shingles to give the effect that the Gazebo is floating over your Garden.
