Dunster House Ltd. are happy to announce that we are now able to offer a range of eight coloured treatments for your Decking. At Dunster House we've done all of the working out for you as we supply enough treatment to give our Decking two coats.
Our Decking come untreated (except decking) so why not give it a personal touch and choose from the eight different colours we supply, allowing you to blend it into its surroundings or if you want to, make it stand out.
The range of wood stains we offer have been designed to enrich the natural beauty of timber. The stains are semi-transparent so offer a rich colour whilst leaving the natural grain of the timber visible. They are a micro-porous, solvent based stain which allows the timber to breathe and limits cracking, peeling or blistering. Lightly structured and easy to apply, they contain a powerful fungicide to assist in the prevention of rot and resins to repel water.
Features:
Dries to an attractive semi-matt finish
Contains transparent iron oxide pigments that absorb U.V light and prevent discolouration of the timber surface
Can be applied directly onto wood, no need for a primer
Contains a powerful fungicide to protect against wood rot and fungal growth
With water repellent compounds to prevent water ingress
Typical life span of 5 years
Low maintenance. Simply clean the surfaces and apply a further coat of stain when required
Preparation & Application all timber to be treated must be sound, free from dirt, dust, wax, grease, organic growths and surface moisture. For best results sand lightly in the direction of the grain and dust off. Please note that failure to follow these basic guidelines could result in poor penetration, slow drying or uneven colour.
Prior to application the wood stain should be stirred gently, with a wooden stick. Apply by brush, foam pad, or cloth, ensuring a good even coating of the timber surface. Ensure any end grains are liberally coated to create a good seal. Decking should require no more than two coats of stain.
DO NOT APPLY STAINS IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
