As many competitors are offering similar quality treatments, Dunster House Ltd. are happy to offer a Barrettine Budget Shed and Fence Coloured Treatment for your Garden Buildings. For use mainly on coarse cut or rough sawn timbers such as on a shed or fence, we can offer this as an extremely low cost alternative to our much higher quality Deluxe Treatment and Premier Treatment. As our timbers are smooth planed, it is recommended that 2 coats of treatment is used. At Dunster House we've done all of the working out for you and we supply enough treatment to give our Garden Buildings two coats, which is exactly what is recommended.
This water based low cost treatment has been designed to protect your cabin at an affordable price. This preserver is harmless to plants and pets when used as directed and is water resistant.
Features:
Dries to an attractive, fade resistant finish
Can be applied directly onto wood, no need for a primer
Water Resistant
Low maintenance.
Preparation & Application
All timber to be treated must be sound, free from dirt, dust, wax, grease, organic growths and surface moisture. Areas to be treated should be dry and previous coatings or repellents should be removed or weathered sufficiently to allow treatment to penetrate/bond to the surface. For best results sand lightly in the direction of the grain and dust off. Allow to dry between coatings. Please note that failure to follow these basic guidelines could result in poor penetration, slow drying or uneven colour.
Please be aware that any spillages on bitumen type products may soften or swell with the fluid or vapour.
Prior to application the wood stain should be stirred gently, with a wooden stick. Apply by brush ensuring a good even coating of the timber surface. Ensure any end grains are liberally coated to create a good seal. Log Cabins should require no more than two coats of stain.
DO NOT APPLY STAINS IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
Health & Safety:
Keep out of reach of children. Use only in well-ventilated areas and ventilate areas thoroughly after application. Wear suitable protective clothing and suitable gloves. Do not use in damp or humid conditions, or if rain is imminent. Do not use in temperatures below 5oC (41oF)
* Please note that the colours in the picture were created in Photoshop so although the colour shown is as close as we could get to the real thing they are not an exact representation of the colour and may differ slightly when on real wood. If purchasing an installation, treatment will be supplied for you to apply to it yourself to suit your preferences and requirements.
