Branch Manager

We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager who can exhibit strong leadership qualities and ownership for the responsibility of running the Branch and the employee’s day to day activities, demonstrating experience in the Management of 15 or more staff, and administration and an awareness of Health and Safety.  The successful applicant will have the ability to oversee various disciplines such as Sales, Despatch, Stores, and Delivery ensuring they run efficiently and smoothly on a day to day basis.  Responsibilities within this role include:

 

•             Incoming enquiries and results thereof

•             Sales as a result of leadership, knowledge and control

•             Ensuring that the branch works productively and is cost effective

•             Overseeing best utilisation of vehicles

•             Satisfactory levels of stock; despatch

•             Despatch and Transport including the safe loading, route planning, optimisation of the fleet usage and vehicle maintenance records

•             Monitoring Drivers hours

•             Ensuring the maintenance of the vehicles including: Servicing, Mot, Tax renewal

•             Overseeing all Departments within the Branch

•             Organising and managing all staff within the branch

•             Branch administration is dealt with according to Company Policy and Procedure

•             Dealing with staff issues as necessary both work or personal related as necessary

•             Health and Safety of the site and it’s employees

•             Ensuring productivity and cost effectiveness in the Branch, including employees, continuously

•             Reviewing resource requirements for maximum benefit to the company at minimum cost

•             Safety and Security of the site

•             Risk assessments for the site

•             Training and Development of staff as necessary

 

You will need to be a flexible, proactive, positive, assertive person and be good at forward planning along with the ability to multi task but to always be able to remain logical and calm.
