We had to chop down a much loved cherry tree last year. Needing something to put where it was, and on the recommendation of a friend, we chose a Dunster Gazebo. Much hard work by my husband and son building it has paid off and we have already spent many hours out there enjoying our garden. Money, time and effort all well spent!
Last year we bought our summer house from dunster house , it was easy to assemble and it looks amazing , excellent quality and it has transformed our garden , this year we purchased a corner gazebo to put our hot tub in and once again excellent quality and it looks amazing Thankyou Dunster house.
My premium plus Severn cabin has made the perfect home office and retreat. Insulated in the roof and floor with a single panel heater it's good for all year round use. Wired tv And internet provide a great place to be at the end of my garden.
A dark, bare slope in the corner of the garden , hidden behind rhododendrons - terracing by spade, a Dunster House log cabin, together with plants moved from around the garden. A perfect secret garden.
I wanted an office for my garden, and looked at numerous companies until I found Dunsterhouse. Not only was my office relatively cheap and easy to construct, the quality of the build is breathtaking. I specifically wanted an office in which I could work all year round, and despite all the snow we had this winter, my office has been comfortable throughout the year.
We assembled our log cabin about 18 months ago at the bottom of the garden. During the build we insulated the floor and ceiling with extra insulation boards and fitted a small log burner.
We did not want to have mains electricity down at the bottom of the garden, so instead installed solar panels and a wind turbine charging a large 12v battery. There are 12v and 5v USB points inside.
I am terminally ill and have always dreamt of having a log cabin. With the worry of leaving my husband and 4 yr old son Samuel behind I really wanted this dream to not only become reality but a space for Samuel and his friends growing up. My friend nominated me through a charity 52lives and although completely overwhelmed I was so chuffed to finally be having a dunster house in our garden. :-)
It was always a dream for me that once I bought my own home with a garden then I would create my own photography studio within it. I looked at quite a few variations and makes of log cabins but I found Dunster House to have such an easy online ordering system and the price was far more competitive than ones in local garden centres. I am so happy that I have this creative space to call my own.
Mark and I moved to Hull 7 years ago, Mark was originally from Hull, myself from London. It was always a bit of a squeeze when my family travelled up from London so we decided to build a garden room. Not only was it an opportunity to have more room, it also gave us a space to escape away from the main house, to a more tranquil setting where we could enjoy the garden
I am a homebrewer and wanted my own pub. We use it for parties, social events and for watching the big game.It also doubles up as a band rehearsal space as the acoustics are great in there. What's so fantastic about our little pub is that, after a great night, we can close the doors, leave the mess, and tidy up when we are ready!Everyone loves it and friends are always asking when's the next party
This has been the best purchase we have ever made for our garden (July 2016). It is our little sanctuary.
We love to sit out whatever the weather. We have ran power to it so we have heating and lighting plus a 32 inch Smart TV so we can sit and watch our films on Netflix. We get loads of great comments from neighbours and freinds.
We purchased our log cabin just over a year ago, originally it was just going to be used as a summer house with the occasional meal being eaten in it but that never happened.
It has been converted into a cinema / Girl & Man cave with all sorts of interesting items finding there way into it.
It has changed our lives and made us a more sociable family spending time together as much as we can
After long discussions we decided to have our daughters family back home for a couple of years to help save for a mortgage deposit.
Our only room was my attic studio so we decided to look at Dunster we chose an office style Lienne Mk3.
Excellent space and size.

We picked the Tarian because of the double doors enabling us to fit the spa and pool table. It’s been an invaluable addition to our garden and has been complemented by friends family and neighbours.
It was easy for me to install with clear step by step instructions.
Dunster were a joy to deal with from start to completion of the project. 10 out of 10.
This is my second cabin from Dunster House and again I am not disappointed. I work from home and my priority when moving last year was to get the cabin up as soon as possible. We moved in the August my cabin was up and ready for work by mid-October. The time lapse was not getting the cabin but deciding its location and position in the new house.
So we retired! - 24hrs a day together, we needed a space to retreat to alone. The summerhouse was the answer, but not just any summerhouse - this was a spacial place full of love and passion for our music, art and all things Italian. It's lived up to our expectation, even when the weather is inclement we can brave the elements and take in the garden from a new perspective
Our summerhouse has brought us a blissful new addition to our home. It is comfortable whatever the weather, day or night.
On an evening we light candles for a cosy and romantic ambience and by day we use it as a room to relax either with the television or music.
It's also a lovely place to dine and such a great way to enjoy being in the garden!
I was made redundant in August 2016 and decided to set up my own financial advice business. I wanted an office, close to home, and Dunster provided me with a fantastic outside office which is now adapted to include heating / air-conditioning, a fridge, seating area, coffee machine, desk, fibre optic broadband and phone, printing and fax facilities. Decorated in blue and luxury vinyl floor tiles
We invested in the Modetro Grande Cabin. From the outside the Cabin looks absolutely beautiful and Edward, the wooden bear (not included) is proud to be perched just outside. The Cabin has become a truly multi-purpose area including boys workshop, home cinema, office, evenings with friends, etc, disturbed only by the sound of birds chirping in the garden, and which everyone absolutely loves using.
We purchased a 6x3 and a 3x3 wooden gazebo from you erected them to make an L shape and turned them into a professional outdoor kitchen complete with sink, fridge, dishwasher, ovens, wood fired pizza oven and seating area. We spend loads of quality family time in their and even Christmas Day.
OUr lovely summer house is admired by so many people that walk in the field next to us, we spend every spare moment watching the birds in the apple tree and is the ideal spot for a pot of tea or a glass of wine and beer, was one of the best buys for our garden
I purchased the log cabin last year 2017 .
The assembly was pretty straight forward as I have had cabins before.
Ttis cabin is by far the beat value and as you can see I have added an extra window to see the chickens and ducks next to it .
Also I added an en-suit to the side. The cabin is used as an office but can be used for people to stay on a air bed if required
The whole family can use our shed just to get away from it all. Whether it’s my daughter filming another YouTube session, my son studying for his exams or my wife and I enjoying an evening G&T, it’s the ideal space. We live in the North East of Scotland and although we get plenty of sunshine, it’s often quite windy, but sitting inside with the doors open, it raises the temp by about 10 degrees!
My husband Stewart and I purchased out summer house in October 2016. We prepared and built it without a wrong word! We were on the last leg of fitting the last two floor boards when Stewart sadly took ill and very sadly passed away. It took a while for me to go and sit in the summer house but I now find it a very peaceful tranquil place to be. It holds many beautiful memories for me.
We wanted a shed that didn't look like a shed! Our home needed extra storage space and our Dunster summer house is just perfect for our needs. It's located at the end of our garden where the evening sun hits so we built a patio in front and have already enjoyed many an evening watching the sun go down with a bottle of wine! Thank you Dunster, we highly recommend you!
I customised the cabin to be an office in the day. In the evenings it's for leisure with a cinema screen for watching films, SKy, DVDs & for playing Nintendo Switch and Playstation (the matching wooden blinds give total darkness) & good speakers also for music. It is also a playroom with table football, pool, board games, darts, etc. It makes a great workout space (exercise bike, weights).
My old picture framing workshop was damp and freezing with no natural light, so I decided to knock it down and build a Dunster House log cabin instead.
Now I love going out to do my work and all my customers comment on my workshop and what a great place it is to work, even with the snow outside.
My lovely log cabin looks fabulous in my garden. It is surrounded by stone pathways and flower beds .I have a new build house and the sales girls says how lovely it all looks and could they show people my garden as to give them ideas.
My special haven and retreat, transformed into an Art Studio. Fully insulated, heated with electrics, available to creatively use 24/7 all year round At a time of great family crisis, the studio became a stress buster, a place to fire my imagination, to contemplate, to develop previously untapped skills, hang artwork and a place I can be myself and escape the day to day worries and concerns

We bought our auval log cabin as a garden retreat, we've decorated it as a beach house and use it to escape the sunshine with our 6 month old daughter. We also use it as a movie room with our projector and watch films and sports in there. We've decorated it with items from santorini and Majorca to give it a beach feel. It is the prefect garden building to optimise outdoor living. Thank you dunster
My summerhouse is my own little piece of heaven. I have decorated it with all of my needlework and in here I sew, read and listen to the birds. In the evenings and at weekends it is a joy to share the space with friends chatting over coffee/tea or a glass of wine. A magical addition to our house and garden.
Hi there, we have wanted a place where we could have friends and family round to have fun and make memories ,for some time we have looked and found pub items and so on ,then stored them till we then found your website for log cabins and as they say the rest is history so thanks for your help in making it happen .
Our outdoor building was used as our doggy day spa . Our previous one floated away when the river Avon flooded . We then bought the cabin from Dunster and it is firmly secured in place now :)
We decided to make life a bit easier & replaced some flower beds with decorative stone's,Planter's & ornament's. They looked fine as individual Bed's, the overall view a bit flat. We decided a small hexagonal Summer House in the middle was needed. We chose one of your's being value for money & well constructed (fact ). It has instantly become the centre point of the garden.
Built after the death of my wife, her initials 'CAB' became 'CAB-Inn' which is on the nameplate on the front.
It's my escape, my refuge, my bolt-hole.
My daughter uses it for teenage sleepovers and we also use it for guest accommodation, all have said how lovely it is.
It's fully wired for electricity and is heated and insulated. We all love it.
I wish we'd got one earlier.
I took early retirement last year and decided to purchase a Severn Log Cabin W5.0m x D3.0m.
i made the order January 2018, due to bad weather the build was delayed but by the end of April the log cabin was complete by Pinnacle Property Service, so now i have a place to practice karaoke, learn to play the keyboards and guitar or play on my PS4 or just chill out.
I am very happy with the purchase
So glad we purchased our log cabin from Dunster House. This is our step back in time to the fabulous 60s, our very own American diner! Its our entertainment hub where friends and family meet to relax and enjoy each others company. There is always lots of fun and laughter, a time to forget the stresses of the day. Combined with good food and a full bar makes this our favourite place to be!
Our lovely garden studio has really changed my life - i now have a great work life balance where i can 'commute' to work each day and have a really great space to work. Everyone comments on how great it is and it was such good value for money thank you so much
Built with relative ease in a couple of weekends by my wife and I, the original plan was to reclaim the living room by providing the growing family with space to bring their friends. This has been a success a great success. It has also provided a lot more, including breakfast in the sun, a place to revise for exams, a craft room and occasionally a quiet place to sneak off and watch TV.
After moving into our new house,I realised that I had nowhere to store all my books of have as an office. So I looked online and found that Dunster House had the perfect answer to my problem. I fitted my own insulated interior, fitted box section metal roof covering and drainpipes and had professionly wiring. It has all worked out very nicely and have a veiw from my office to die for.
We decided on this summerhouse last year and I set about demolishing the pre-war greenhouse which previously stood on the site and was causing us plenty of problems. Despite being in my seventies, I put it together single handed with just a power drill and screwdriver, 2 old carpenters cramps and a little help from “the other half” in swinging the roof spars over.
Great place to relax !
We needed a log cabin and shed that would fit in a tight space in our garden. The Dunster house log cabin with shed attachment was the perfect choice. We chose to put the shed on the back of the log cabin. This was easy to do and also meant that it was tucked away out of sight. The log cabin is a retreat in the garden, which enables us to be in the garden when it is too cold to sit out.
A workshop for mower and tools, and a spot out of the wind for that afternoon sun? Simple with my Premium Plus Avon. Extra double doors also gave me spare timber to screen the veranda from the traffic. I put the window at the workshop end. Perfect!
I needed space to do my painting plus short time storage while renervating our bedrooms. I occupy just over half the cabin and the remainder will soon all be mine. We like the outdoor space and on visiting Dunster show rooms, looking for a Cabin I fell in love with the Olympus Gazeebo that would give us all we wanted. Two years down the line we are still enjoying both spaces.
I built the log cabin to house my model railway and to enhance the look of our garden. As the cabin is used in the evenings I put up blinds at the windows & doors and installed a ceiling so down lighters could be fitted, it also has WiFi.
The cabin provides a break from my voluntary work with the Scouts and as a school governor.
The birdbox on the side of the cabin is a home a family of Blue Tits.
One year on and my Garden Office is actually my jewellery studio and has become the centre of my new silversmithing jewellery design-and-make business:
chrissielines_jewellery. I couldn’t be happier with it!
We decided to purchase a 4x4 rhine log cabin so that we can have a south facing place to sit as our living room is a very dull depressing north facing cold space. Our cabin is used almostall year round with the help of our optimyst log burner (electric )
A great gypsy caravan playhouse. A well thought out design with good instructions. It was delivered in kit form to a friend who drove it out to our house in France when I spent a couple of days in construction (in a heatwave. The children love it and play shop out of the side window.
At last! A space in which to be creative with my paints! Coastal themed, it sets the shoreline scene. So good I can leave pieces I’m working on, out on my desk without the thought it should all be put away as the space is needed for something else! A perfect retreat and even space for the family to join in! So restful, it’s easy to lose yourself…. Is that the surf I hear? Living the dream!
We love our Rhine cabin my husband and a couple of mates put it up in a day, now electrics done can put it to its use as our chill out fun house. We bought the dunster house bar for that extra bit of fun and have added simple furnishing sofa bed colourful cushiobs for sleepovers. And I have found a home for some old albums that had been in the loft for years! Love it.
tt is those of us who have smaller houses/smaller plots that can best benefit from a DH cabin.
Our small garden was north facing with a shed and a greenhouse at the end. But, being north facing, and sloping , was pretty useless.
we put the garden into three tiers, and a gardner/diy friend and myself, and my then 7yr old daughter built the cabin, with a south facing decking in front,
Our Art Studio is sited behind apple trees. Finished with stain and oil protective coatings, it blends-in beautifully. The cabin interior is self explanatory retaining untreated timber except for doors and the floor boards which have been sealed with floor oil. Display boards have been mounted to allow for movement. The insulated floor, walls and roof are great for year round use.
We wanted to create a Scandinavian style log cabin in which to house our hot tub and improve the look of the garden. We painted the cabin grey with contrasting white windows and doors and added red gingham curtains, a decorative timber fascia and a window box. Inside we displayed a reindeer hide and other Scandinavian decorations for a dreamlike spa experience.
We had an old garage at the back of our garden that was falling apart and the need for a home office (I am an Architect and occasionally work from home). Our Dunster House is now our home office, ballet studio (for our 7 year old), Computer game zone (for our 10 year old), games room and children's den (HQ) amongst others (spot the disco light on the ceiling).
We built the 'Rossi Hut' as a tranquil escape for our son Finlay who has Autism. To make it fair the space was provided into 2 areas. An area for Finlay and his Lego train set, Thomas tracks, cars and drawing station; and a family area where Daddy can watch the MotoGP, Amelia can watch a movie with friends or where we all enjoyed watching England at the World Cup.
I have integrated my Lienne with a shed by extending out the decking area on the front of the Lienne. I now have an area where I can work, enjoy sport or just take in some evening shade on the decking.
After moving to this area and new build property it was just turfed to various falls. We had a conservatory at our old property but a conservatory here would not benefit us so we chose your Alexander Garden Office and positioned it at the highest point of existing ground level, the advantage of this is we have great open views and sun. The whole design of the garden was created by wife and myself
We wanted an entertainment/games room. My Son wanted table-tennis & TV for gaming. My Wife wanted a bar! My Daughter didn’t care as long it was ready for her 18th Birthday. So I think I’ve please everyone? Had some really good comments from friends and Family and all are very impressed at the end result (they thought it was “just a shed!!!”). It’s not quite finished just yet, but just enjoying it
My Dunster House summer house has become my girl heaven. It is many things to me - somewhere to read, somewhere to listen to music, somewhere to have the girls over for a drink, somewhere to rest and relax, and somewhere to sit and do nothing. It has become our barbecue area, a perfect space for entertaining and enjoying the beautiful views of the countryside we live in. How did I live without it?
After staying in a Shepard's hut for a weekend away, I was desperate to have my own version for my garden, as I have a husband and two boy's I wanted to make it into my "girly" sanctuary. Couldn't be happier with my Shepherds Hut, thank you Dunster House.
Last year we totally re-landscaped our garden. We ordered a jacuzzi but wanted a cover to be able use it year round. They were all so expensive in this area, then a friend of a friend gave us your name. We couldn't t believe the choice and prices,it didn't take us long to make up our minds. We've never looked back it was perfect.
This is my hideaway sewing, craft & play room. I treasure the projects I do with my grandson and my husband designed a table that can do it all. It houses the train set yet within seconds can be hidden away for crafts with my grandson. When I need relaxation it becomes my miniature dolls house or dressmaking and sewing table. My husband says I may as well live in it as I spend so much time there.
My son and I spent the 2017 summer working on this gaming room. We knew that we had to make something in our garden to make our PCs fit. We also needed a place where my wife wouldn’t hear us and become annoyed when we were playing our games. That’s why we built this log cabin. We even added a handy green screen! Now, we have a spacious extra room that we can relax in as we play our games.
We love our Dunster cabin called Bar Traeth Ali. Welsh for Ali's Beach Bar. We have enjoyed all summer using cabin as a quiet reading retreat, a coffee and cake gathering and a great party cabin. As cabin has heating can't wait to use it in the winter months...thanks Dunster.
The Pavilion - an idyllic place to eat, relax and observe the wildlife in our woodland garden. No more battles with the curious insects which like to inspect our plates of food or the constant shower of seeds which descend from the silver birch trees. From the onset of spring until late autumn and whatever the weather or time of day we have gained an outdoor room to escape today's hi-tech world.
We bought our cabin as an affordable way of increasing our living space & transforming our dull garden.
It was simple to build, & took me 3 days to assemble. 2 years on,we couldn't imagine our lives without it. Our garden is now a really special place.
We love spending our summer evenings sat in the sun &watching tv,with a glass of wine, all in the comfort of our back garden!
Thanks Dunster House.
Not quite 400 characters but two great quotes.
“Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.” Mason Cooley
“My Dunster ‘Reading Room’ provides the perfect sanctum for me to stay where I am.” Jane Best
My Reading Room is a quiet place to contemplate the pleasure this Dunster Summerhouse has provided.
Being a psychotherapist means that my work space needs to be calm, cosy and private. Having spent a lot of money on renting rooms that weren't 100% to my liking, I decided it was time to invest in my own therapy room. After searching high and low I found my perfect cabin at Dunster House, and what a bargain it was too! I now have my own fully insulated therapy room and my clients love it!
We wanted a living space that was different from the house - somewhere for relaxing, reading and creativity - but also suitable for meals with friends and family. Our builder laid a concrete base and did the electrics but we did the rest of the construction over a bank holiday weekend. It's a great place for us to find peace and quiet - but our cat has decided he is king of the new castle!
For over a year our log cabin has provided a perfect space for chilling or entertaining. The 'man cave' has been decorated to feel like an old 'pirate' pub and has been the envy of all our friends. It is now the most used space for 'Dad' to get away from normality - and have a few beers with the Playstation on the go! Thanks Dunster for helping us get another room in the house!
Proud of our self-build effort by replacing our old shed to create a new entertainment, relaxation and workout space all in one area. We've kept some storage room with the side shed, and kitted the cabin out with lights, heating, gym equipment, sofa and customised bar (made out of the delivery pallets and leftover flooring), trying to utilise the space as best as possible. Just what we needed!
We would love to enter this competition. But we sadly haven't finished the Garden around our Garden Office.
This is our garden so far. Last week it was all mud. We were doing decking up to the doors this weekend. But it's rained the whole time. So it's a project for next weekend we hope.
We’ve watched meteor showers, blizzards and buzzards. Seen blossom on the apple trees burst and bear fruit, as heard the owl calling into night as it falls. Sometimes we just sit with a coffee and look out. She’s a quiet sanctuary. Tucked into a sheltered north facing corner of our Worcestershire garden, out of the wind. She’s very cosy with or without the tiny wood stove glowing…we love her!
The cabin has made a great difference to me. I look forward to using it everyday. Sometimes it is as a summer house. Other times I use it for an art studio. It also acts as a second living room. It is great to sit in with family and friends, whilst enjoying the garden. Since I can not walk very far it gets me out of the house no matter what the weather. I wish we had for it years ago.
I run a Graphic Design business and went from an office share to working from home. After much research the Alexander MKIII was the office for me. With my business contacts the relevant trades brought my garden office to life. Clients visit thinking I’m in a shed, then say “wow it's amazing!” I love my space, business and home life are separate and I made the right choice. Thanks Dunster House :)
I bought my Lantera shed from Dunster House about five years ago. It sits at the foot of my courtyard garden in central Bristol and I use it as an art studio. This year I decided to tackle my biggest canvas yet by painting the exterior in the same style as my bold expressionist intuitive paintings. It is an ongoing project and I you can see the progress on Instagram @artistintheshed
Not so long ago I was working from my kitchen table surrounded by the chaos of family life, now I enjoy peace and quiet and a tidy office with views of the garden. I even come in here to practice yoga. It really feels likes a luxurious space away from the house. I chose this duster house office as I really loved the modern sliding doors which let in so much light and make it seem more expensive.
Our summerhouse is a haven of peace, a home from home, a holiday retreat on our doorstep. Surrounded by an eclectic mixture of artefacts we have acquired over the years, we can relax and look out over our garden. Warm and bright in the summer, cosy in spring and autumn. Ideal for entertaining, it is also the perfect place for tea for two.
After the birth of my daughter in Aug 2016, I gave up Wedding and Studio Photography for my new role as Mummy. I came across the Lienne MK III online and arranged a viewing. Having this built in our garden I am now lucky enough to work from home as a Baby and Child Photographer, specializing in 1st Birthday Cakesmash Photography.
When the council cut down a huge pine tree near the corner of our garden it turned a shady and dry area into a useful space and I was finally able to realise my dream of having my own vegetable plot. The addition of a Dunster House shed, constructed by my husband John, along with the addition of some raised beds and decking made my dream a reality.
From a very young age, I have had a keen interest in the transport industry; particularly buses and coaches. Moving from my family home into a property with my partner, it was time to search for a 'man cave' to home my vast collection of bus/coach models and other transport memorabilia. Dunster House to the rescue and a building session with my Dad, hey presto 'The Coach House' is born.
As a growing family we needed a flexible space which could be used for young and old without isolating anyone from the garden space. We chose the Dunster House log cabin because of its superior spec and build qualities which has enabled us to use the space throughout the year. We are very pleased and proud of our creation which was very easy to build
I started my own beauty business in 2011 renting rooms in other salons but after having my daughter last year I decided I couldn't afford rent anymore and needed something to work around family life. My husband suggested buying a log cabin and converting it into my very own beauty salon and it was the best thing I ever did. It's a dream come true, I'm so busy and all my clients absolutely love it!
