Rabbitat
This product does not come with a hutch. Please add an insulated shelter within, or permanently attached too, the Rabbitat.

Rabbits are crepuscular creatures meaning they are at their most active during dusk and dawn, times when you are not, so need to be given the freedom to exercise, play or explore at a time that best suits them rather than be confined until you have the time to supervise them being out in the garden - the Rabbitat does just that. Suitable for rabbits of all sizes, the Rabbitat maximises the space available for them to exercise and play whilst having a great view of the garden which helps them feel safer.

The full height of the enclosure is approximately 2.33m (7' 7'') high which will make access to the enclosure easy for even the tallest of your friends (we know you will want to show them off). It also makes it easier to interact with your rabbits or keep an eye on them.

For the rabbits protection the Rabbitat includes heavy duty 18g galvanised weld mesh, which is approximately 70% stronger than the 19G mesh commonly used on the market, to prevent bunnies escaping or predators turning your beloved bunny into lunch. We even use galvanised mesh for the roof to keep your rabbits safe from birds of prey.

The substantial framework of the Rabbitat features 35mm x 35mm heavy duty slow grown spruce which is 4 times as thick as the timber commonly used on hutches. By using pressure treated spruce, rather than fast grown untreated timber, your rabbits are less likely to shred it as it is much denser. We pressure treat it with non toxic, arsenic free, chrome copper which is penetrated deep within the timber to protect it against rot and fungal decay for 10 years without treatment (we guarantee it).

At the bottom of the enclosure is 40mm high timber fox guarding which helps prevent a fox, cat or dog from nibbling at a resting bunny lying against a side wall, and will reduce potentially lethal stress to rabbits if a predator gets too close. We have purposely made the timber guarding to create a tall enough barrier that your rabbits have a sense of security but is low enough for them to see over and into the garden if they stand upright.
