  • 10 year guarantee
All of the timber in our Greenhouse/Shed Combos is pressure treated and is guaranteed against rot and insect infestation for 10 years. Protecting your timber thoroughly, you won't need to re-treat for at least ten years or worry about little critters causing havoc.
  • 4mm toughened glass
We use 4mm thick toughened glass, not Perspex or Styrene which can scratch easily and cloud up over time. This is also thicker and less likely to break when hit with the neighbour’s pesky football compared to the industry standard of 3mm horticultural glass.
  • High internal eaves
The internal eaves are typically higher than others, at 1.86m (6'1") high, to the bottom of the timber trusses (The glass is higher still), there's plenty more room for your plants to grow. The top of our windows runs in line with the top of our doors, you don't walk through a tall door only to then hit your head on the roof!
    Avoid planning permission
This building is under 2.5m high.
Why does this matter? Well, under permitted development rights buildings under 2.5m high can be placed as close as you want to a boundary (eg. a fence line) without planning permission. Buildings that are over 2.5m high, however, need to be placed over 2m away from any boundary (eg. a fence line), which means that with taller buildings you end up with a lot of space behind them. If you want to find out more about permitted development rights see our planning guide
    Sliding doors
Our Greenhouses are fitted with extra wide doors, to ensure ample room for your wheel barrow to fit through. The main doors slide open, rather than being hinged so you won't waste valuable indoor space leaving room for the doors to swing in. They also won't be caught in the wind or knocked about as you move things in and out.
    Full panes of Glass
We only use full panes of glass, not overlapping half panes joined together in the middle with clips which several of our competitors use. Full sheets of glass adds to the strength of the greenhouse, improving resistance to poor weather conditions and stray footballs. It also makes cleaning the glass a lot easier.
    Easy to build panel system
Lower panels constructed using a panel system, to make construction as easy as possible.
    Optional Opening Skylights/Windows
Optional opening skylights and side windows allow you to control the ventilation, reducing the chance of mildew. Choose between our manual opening windows/skylights and automatic temperature sensitive skylights.
Glass Held in Place with Beading
We use individual wooden beads to hold our glass in place. The other solution on the market is to slot the glass into the framework as the greenhouse gets built. These panes of glass are held in place with wooden beading rather than being slot into place whilst building the Greenhouse – by using beading we make it easier to replace single panes of glass in the rare occasion one of them breaks.
Our superior staging provides a quality finishing touch to your greenhouse. With single, double or free-standing staging you can organise all your pots, plants and tools just how you want them. We use pressure treated timber which ensures it is protected from rot and insect infestation for at least 10 years.
    Tall Walkthrough Height
We fit extra tall doors to give an extra tall walkthrough (of 5'10") so you are much less likely to bump your head compared with competitor greenhouses. The door into the shed part of this building is even higher at 6'6" tall (1980mm).
    Avoid Sagging Roofs
Our greenhouses have robust 90mm x 35mm roof beams. The beams are in place to provide additional support and structure to the toughened glass roof, adding to its strength and stability. The Shed part has very strong 70mm x 35mm roof beams that work with the 16mm thick roof boards to provide a very strong roof structure, which will prevent unsightly sagging.

Average Seller Rating:

My husband is very pleased with his greenhouse. It looks lovely in our garden. It was fairly easy to put up and is all we expected it to be. Would definitely recommend it.

Very pleased with the greenhouse, clear instructions, fairly easy assembly (two man job for some parts), looking forward to using. One minor snag with a missing component which was solved using a piece of spare timber.

Enjoying my greenhouse and very pleased with quality. It took a long time to build and a few discussions!! Comes in more pieces than you think but worth it in the end. Good value too.

Purchased this greenhouse back in April and I am extremely happy with it. The men who delivered it were helpful and polite. It is a good solid construction and pleasant addition to our garden. My only criticism is that the rain comes in above the sliding doors because of the gap beween the door frame and main frame. I did mention this to our local supplier.

Lovely green house, could be a little more information on the plans or id on the parts to help identify them

This green house is sturdy, had all the extras for one price: toughened glass, automatic openers and staging. My daughter loves it! The delivery driver was very helpful.

Excellent quality throughout. It takes time to build but it is worth it. Loads of room for growing, plenty of light and a solid building.

Dear Ray, thank you for your comments. We hope you feel the time spent on construction is well worth it.

Very very pleased with installed greenhouse. It was delivered on time with a Helpful team and especially so the two guys who actually erected the greenhouse. The quality of the greenhouse is good and looks at home in my garden!!

Thank you Ruth. Remember you can always send photos to We love seeing photos of our customer's products.

The complete process starting from obtaining details of the Mini Greenhouse prior to purchase the ability to track the delivery , the way the green house was packaged , the quality and finish of the component parts, and the way it all fitted together was excellent. It took me about 7 hours to build it . I am very pleased with the completed green house and look forward to using it in the new year

Very happy with both installation and product. Professional and polite throughout. Think I'd definitely have struggled to build it myself!

I'm very pleased with my Swallowmere greenhouse. The design is good, well thought-out and the parts build into a strong greenhouse with way above average height. The component timbers are well machined and fit easily as per instructions. Customer service were quick in providing a couple of small items that were missing. I would recommend this greenhouse to anyone requiring a good-looking and cost-effective greenhouse.

My order was completed without a hitch - the advice from the sales team and the customer service staff at the despatch depot was excellent and the delivery was as arranged and went smoothly It will be some weeks before the greenhouse is put up - we did expect it in sections not as dozens of little pieces - may be we didn't read the spec too carefully! - but we will endeavour to send a photo of the finished project.

FAB!! It's now up and running and looks beautiful, so glad I went for a wood green house not metal. I've painted it white and it has a pink heart on the top. it feels solid and good quality. It went together well without any difficulties. The glass has been tested by a neighbour's son throwing stones and it is definitely toughened! My only regret is I didn't buy the opening window as an extra.

We wanted to replace an old greenhouse and plumped for the Tulipley 3m x 2.4m. There were a lot of pieces on arrival which was a little daunting but once we sorted all the components out it became more obvious and all parts were present and correct. The plans were quite simple to follow and all the parts fitted together a treat. A lot of thought must have gone into the design and planning. Assembly did take some time but it was really enjoyable and progressed well. We did have one problem with a door roller but once we reported the problem a replacement was despatched and promptly arrived by courier. The greenhouse is now complete and ready for use although the flowers on the image haven’t been allowed inside just yet!

I was most impressed with the quality of the materials, the timber, glass, fixings and fittings. The completed structure feels like it will last a lifetime. On the whole the instructions are excellent with only one or two steps leaving me scratching my head a bit. I was a bit surprised that the greenhouse frames did not come assembled; instead you get a very large collection of different sized and shaped pieces of wood which you have to screw together. As a result the construction time was much longer than I expected, at least three days. I recommend you borrow some power drills from your friends as otherwise you are forever changing from drill bit to countersink (they are not pre-drilled) to screwdriver heads. You only need moderate DIY skills but a lot of patience. Despite these minor misgivings I am extremely pleased with the end result, and more importantly so is the misses! I would strongly recommend Dunsters to anyone who wants a quality product at a reasonable price.

I ordered an Elderby 1.8m x 3.6m Greenhouse/Shed on spec after visiting your web site without physically seeing an erected unit. I had asked for an Instruction Manual prior to delivery to assess whether or not I might require professional assistance . My order arrived quicker than quoted and over a 4 weekend only period I constructed it with occasional assistance from my sons but mainly on my own. The instructions were most comprehensive and explicit although I was a little confused by the “opening windows” instructions but got there in the end. My only little concern is that the top of the metal sliding rail is exposed to the elements as there did not seem to be any top covering trim, unless I missed it. It was a most satisfying and troublefree experience and I am extremely pleased with the end-result and the quality of the product and would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone looking for a similar out-house. If my garden was bigger I would buy something else to keep me amused.

Brilliant experience right through from the initial visit to the Display Area at Flixborough to discuss our requirements with Carol Booth, through to delivery and then erection of this greenhouse. It's a little daunting when the pile of wood arrives on the back of the wagon, but with patience and diligent reading of the instructions, I was able to construct this almost on my own; just needing a little assistance for some of the higher level work. The instructions on the whole were excellent, though in a couple of places I felt they could have been a little more detailed. Since its been built all the neighbours have commented very positively on the greenhouse and it's now down to my green fingers to make the most of it now. The toughened glass is brilliant and so much easier to install. I enjoyed building this one so much, that I've just ordered to Deluxe Coronet 250 to sit alongside. Well done Dunster House - great product and great value.
