  • 10 year guarantee
All of the timber in our African Thatched Gazebos is pressure treated and is guaranteed against rot and insect infestation for 10 years. Protecting your timber thoroughly, you won't need to re-treat for at least ten years or worry about little critters causing havoc.

    Extra Strong Posts (round)

As you can see from the left-hand image, our chunky 160mm round posts are up to 60% thicker than many of our competitors. This ensures a very sturdy, solid and more attractive structure.

    Hot Dipped Galvanised Roof Frame

Our roof frames are made of hot-dipped galvanised steel. The hot dip galvanisation process results in far more zinc being bonded with the steel (typically 10 times more) than with electro-plating methods (sometimes known as zinc plating). It is the thick layer of zinc which prevents corrosion occurring in the steel and we confidently offer a 10 year Guarantee against structural failure due to rust.
  • Authentic Thatched Roof
We use genuine African Cape Reed Thatch for authenticity. The thatch panels are easy-to-install, attaching to the roof frame with the use of clips. The roof panels use a mix of heavy duty and standard tiles finished off with a top cone.

    No Glued together Offcuts

We only use full lengths of timber in our garden buildings - we don't glue separate offcut pieces together with finger joints. Not only are they stronger, but they look much better too.
  • Tall Walkthrough Height
Unless you are over 2.03m (6'8'') tall you can walk right the way through without ducking, and that's if you buy the floor decking! Without it, you can add a further 17cm (7'') without any danger of bumping your head. These are grand and impressively tall structures!
  • Customise your design
Dress up your thatched gazebo by adding optional extras. Maybe a decked floor; some fancy balustrades; a purpose built table and benches; comfortable cushions or curtains for added privacy. You can add a waterproof canopy to give the inside of your roof an impressive look and catch the few drips that might make it through the thatching. Dress your thatched gazebo up or keep it minimal, the decision is yours!
  • Decking
Add a thick 28mm grooved deckboard floor to our standard design and not only does it come with massive 140mm x 45mm joists to completely span the distances between the posts we even give you weed proof membrane to lay underneath. This will help keep those unsightly weeds and grass at bay.
  • Fully pressure treated
All of the timber for this Gazebo is pressure treated. All of our pressure treated timber carries a Genuine 10 Year Guarantee against fungal decay and insect infestation without any need for the customer to apply treatment during this time.

Average Seller Rating:

We couldn't be more pleased with our "African Thatched Oval Gazebo" I believe that we were one of the first to purchase one of these and as a result our delivery time was greater than that advertised but having erected it (I did it myself) it is a great asset to our garden and was really admired by all the visitors we had to a joint birthday party. The materials are well prepared and this made the construction, for me, that much easier. A point to watch is the size. The size quoted is the outside edges of the thatch. Had we been told this when we were buying we would probably have ordered the larger one.
