  • Avoid planning permission
This building is under 2.5m high.
Why does this matter? Well, under permitted development rights buildings under 2.5m high can be placed as close as you want to a boundary (eg. a fence line) without planning permission. Buildings that are over 2.5m high, however, need to be placed over 2m away from any boundary (eg. a fence line), which means that with taller buildings you end up with a lot of space behind them. If you want to find out more about permitted development rights see our planning guide
  • Adjustable storm braces
Our adjustable storm braces tie the log cabin roof to the rest of the building so it withstands stronger winds. Unlike other cabins on the market they are adjustable to allow for the natural movement of the cabin which helps prevent gaps appearing between wall logs as the logs settle and move.
  • Slow Grown Spruce
We use slow grown spruce for the walls of all our log cabins as it is better all round than pine! Spruce is less porous than Pine and so less likely to shrink, warp or split. We only select slowly grown timber from colder climates which also helps keep the timber more stable as the rings are densely packed. It is also a less resinous timber than Pine, which makes the possibility of sap ruining your clothes or furnishings much less likely.
  • 4mm toughened glass
We use 4mm toughened glass in our windows and doors for increased safety and security. It's much better than 3mm horticultural glass, commonly found in garden buildings, as it's a lot harder to break, and if ever it is broken it breaks into small pieces rather than large shards. It is also much harder to scratch than the plastic alternatives, styrene, acrylic and perspex, so will preserve your clear view out for far longer.
    10 year timber guarantee?
Other companies claim that they offer a 10 year Guarantee on their untreated timber. If you read the small print, you'll find that these Guarantees are pointless. They cover the cabin against rot and insect infestation only if you, the customer, treat the cabin every year with a good quality preservative. Why are these Companies offering a Guarantee for something that you are going to have to do yourself? How could you prove you had treated it if you tried to make a claim? We don't offer pointless Guarantees. We guarantee that our pressure treated timber and our galvanised metal will last for 10 years without yearly labour from you.
  • Tall walkthrough height
With our extra tall doors, unless you are over 1.86m (6'1") tall you can walk right the way through without any danger of bumping your head.
  • 4 Point Door locking system
Our PremiumPlus doors feature our industry leading four point locking system. It features a hook, locking latch and two roller locks. We use a type of lock known as a RASP cylinder. The reason we use this, is that it is a safer, more secure locking system as it prevents 'lock bumping' and 'cylinder snapping'. Our Premiumplus windows have multipoint locking as well, using the same type of system as we supply with our uPVC windows and doors.
  • Optional 24mm Double Glazing
The double glazing option on PremiumPlus Log Cabins is an industry leading 24mm thick. We make these sealed units ourselves to European Standard EN1279. Made up of 4mm toughened glass, 16mm spacer and another piece of 4mm toughened glass. It's an excellent way of insulating your cabin and extending its usage from a seasonal building to one that can be used throughout the year.
  • Adjustable Hinges/Friction Stays
Our PremiumPlus doors feature easily adjustable hinges allowing you to make minor changes if ever required. The windows on this range have the same friction stays as we supply on our uPVC windows, meaning that you can open the window and leave it open with just the hinges taking the load, with no need for a stay arm. These sets of hinges are stylish and supremely user friendly.
    Quality windows and doors
Our best windows and doors are reserved for our top of the range Premiumplus cabins. With gasket seals for weather proofing, laminated timber in the longer sections for increased resistance to warping, larger sections of timber and better joints. Along with our best hinges, locking systems and largest opening sizes, we've developed these using our decades of experience in the window and door industry and they are unmatched by our competitors.
    bi-fold doors
The attractive bi folding doors open fully to allow plenty of light inside. In order to help secure these large doors, there are large metal brackets in the corners to reinforce the frames, 4 hinges on each side and two positioning slots at the top of the door.

PremiumPlus Tarian Log Cabin W5.5m x D3.0m

The image above shows a brief reference to how your products will arrive. All of our garden buildings are made from kiln dried quality graded timber, if it is to be stored prior to construction and treatment all parts must be covered to prevent moisture from warping and rotting the timber.

Average Seller Rating:

I just wanted to show you photos of my finished cabin. It's a Tarian (5.5 x 3m) and was bought with the intention of making it into a kitchen to run my cake business from, That Cake Lady. Ordering was simple and any queries we had were dealt with straight away. Delivery was fantastic, a wet day in the summer, but a 3 man delivery which was not rushed and methodical and everything was explained. My dad and father in law built the cabin. I went out at 11am and it was about 1m high, by 3pm is was full height! The roof was straight forward and took a couple of days. It's been fitted out with an Ikea kitchen complete with 2 ovens, a fridge, sink with under-counter water heater, a plinth heater and various lights! It's enabled us to get our family kitchen back and stopped cake paraphernalia from taking over the house! It will also be perfect for cake consultations. It's incredibly warm and cosy, I'm sat in it now as I type this!

Dear Nicola. Thank you for your review and amazing photos. We wish you all the best and good luck with your business.

Fab building and so straight forward to erect. Only fault is the brass bolt locks - worth buying new ones which I had too as two fell apart within a week. I do not mean the actual locking mechanism on the doors / windows, just the cheap feeble bolts that hold the doors closed. There are six of them. Definitely worth buying, I looked elsewhere and this company ticked all the boxes
