The dome is made from Polyester Terephthalate Glycol, a material that is both strong and shatter proof. The clever placement of the dome at the roof allows for ventilation and helps prevent condensation from forming on the dome.

We only use full lengths of timber in our wood gazebos. This means we don’t glue separate offcut pieces together with finger joints. Not only are they stronger, but they look much nicer too. Also, our wooden pavilions are easy to assemble as all pieces of timber are pre-cut (Except minor trims), including the roof supports.

Wooden Gazebo Maintenance

To ensure your wooden garden structures have a prolonged life, it’s crucial that you take the correct measures to maintain them properly. Our experts recommend that you perform systematic checks to at least once a year. When performing maintenance pay close attention to mould and mildew, weed control and roof maintenance.

Should you find mould and mildew on your wooden gazebo, don’t be alarmed. By employing a few simple cleaning-based tips, you can easily remove the mildew. Start by filling two buckets of water. Leave one bucket as it is, with clear water, and add a mild detergent to the second bucket. Then, take a soft cloth and moisten it with in the mild detergent solution.

Wring the cloth out so that it’s barely moist and proceed by scrubbing the areas that are affected by mildew. Once finished, take another clean cloth and rise with clean water. After that, take a third piece of clean cloth to dry the problem area.

In cases where a white layer appears after you have cleaned the problem section, simply use the furniture cleaner to remove the waxy residue. Finally, apply a thin layer of paste wax for an attractive finish.

If your garden structure is painted, replace the mild detergent with chlorine bleach and skip the application of furniture cleaner and paste wax. Instead, after cleaning, let the wood dry out naturally.

It’s important that you take measures in removing the weeds from the areas surrounding your structure. Especially when you have trained climbing plants engulfing your arbour as the chances of it being infiltrated with weeds are increased.

In addition, it’s vital that you check the roof at least twice a year for damage. Ensure it the roof is leak-free and that no branches or excessive amount of leaves have fallen onto the roof. If there are leaves, remove them immediately.  

Planning Permission for Garden Buildings
