    Heavy duty frames
The chunky 60mm or 86mm thick corner posts coupled with the 45mm thick framework either side makes our summerhouses very solid. The 16mm thick cladding adds to this rigidity and gives a substantial look and feel.
  • 4mm Toughened Glass
We use 4mm toughened glass in our windows and doors for increased safety and security. It's much better than 3mm horticultural glass, commonly found in garden buildings, as it's a lot harder to break, and if ever it is broken it breaks into small pieces rather than large shards. It is also much harder to scratch than the plastic alternatives, styrene, acrylic and perspex, so will preserve your clear view out for far longer.
    Strong cylinder lock
A strong cylinder lock will help keep your summerhouse secure. It'll keep your belongings safe from unwanted visitors, and it'll stop the kids from messing up your relaxation space.
  • No glued together offcuts
We only use full lengths of timber in our buildings - we don't glue separate pieces together with finger joints. Not only are they stronger, but they look much better too.
  • Avoid Planning permission
This building is under 2.5m high.
Why does this matter? Well, under permitted development rights buildings under 2.5m high can be placed as close as you want to a boundary (eg. a fence line) without planning permission. Buildings that are over 2.5m high, however, need to be placed over 2m away from any boundary
(eg. a fence line), which means that with taller buildings you end up with a lot of space behind them. If you want to find out more about permitted development rights see our planning guide
    Fixing pack Included
We include all of the screws, nails and fixings needed to put your garden building together, not everyone is that thoughtful! So there's no need to worry about the type of screws, or length of nails etc you might need to get started, it's all there in the pack!
  • Avoid sagging roof
Our summerhouses have robust 70mm x 35mm roof beams, which are reinforced by additional supports at the sides of each roof panel. With the metal spider brackets and 19mm roof boards this gives a very strong roof structure to make sure that roof sagging is an issue that will only be suffered by the customers of companies that supply lesser products.
  • Easy to build panel system
The 16mm shiplap walls come in panels, so each piece of timber is cut to size. These panels are easy to slot in-between the solid 60mm or 86mm corner posts, making the construction of your summerhouse quick and simple, almost like a giant jigsaw puzzle.
  • Pressure treated floor bearers
By pressure treating our floor bearers we protect the lowest part of the building from rot and insect infestation. This forces the treatment deep into the timber using a large pressure treatment tank. Due to this costly but effective process we can offer our customers a genuine 10 year guarantee against rot and insect infestation on the bearers with no need for the customer to re-treat this timber at any point during that time.
    High internal eaves
The high internal eaves (1.82m/5'11") give a spacious, light and airy feel once you're inside. This is the lowest point of the roof which quickly rises still giving plenty of headroom for all of you over 5'11"!

Valletta Summerhouse W1.9m x D1.69m

The image above shows a brief reference to how your products will arrive. All of our garden buildings are made from kiln dried quality graded timber, if it is to be stored prior to construction and treatment all parts must be covered to prevent moisture from warping and rotting the timber.

I am very pleased with my summerhouse - exactly as expected. Instructions clear and straightforward.I would STRONGLY advise that you have at least 2 strong men available to accept the delivery - we managed with 1 strong man and 2 not so strong women - after unpacking the whole package!

What a "Little Gem". Took my wife and I, 1-1/2 days to fully complete. Instructions were perfect. Lots of holes to drill and you certainly need a hand drill and posi-drive bit, but no missing items. Now both of us looking to spend many happy hour listening to music and watching the garden grow.

Excellent value for the money, very well made, and very straight forward to erect, dealt with this company before and have again ended up a satisfied customer again

Generally I was very pleased with the Valletta summerhouse although some of the window frames needed a bit of a rubdown before varnishing. The instructions provided were clear and all components easily identified. It all fitted together as it should although I would recommend painting/treating each section prior to assembly. It took me a full day to paint and preserve the base, roof and six panels. Another full day to assemble(I was able to fit the roof single handed)and a third day to fit the roof felt and tidy up. I also spent a day making a fitted bench seat. It cost me approximately £45 in materials to make the bench seat but I would gladly have paid double this for a pre-cut kit supplied as an optional extra. Maybe this is something that could be considered.

Hi Robert. Thank you for your review and your suggestions as well as for the beautiful photo that you sent us.

We spent most of last year looking for a summerhouse for our small garden with no luck so started looking again this year.We quickly found that Dunster House now sell one just the size for the smaller garden. As we have dealt with the company for many years we were sure the quality would be excellent, and it was from ordering to delivery, instructions and ease of erection even when I had to contact Dunster House with a query this was dealt with quickly by E-Mail within 20 minutes. Now after the project is finished we can look back and add how pleased we are all planed wood including floor and roof (no chipboard on this summerhouse) good hardware, safety glass in doors and windows. Well done Dunster House
