Product Features

Summerhouses Heavy Duty Frames

Heavy duty frames

The chunky 60mm or 86mm thick corner posts coupled with the 45mm thick framework either side makes our summerhouses very solid. The 16mm thick cladding adds to this rigidity and gives a substantial look and feel.

Summerhouses 4mm Toughened Glass
Summerhouses Styrene

4mm Toughened Glass

We use 4mm toughened glass in our windows and doors for increased safety and security. It's much better than 3mm horticultural glass, commonly found in garden buildings, as it's a lot harder to break, and if ever it is broken it breaks into small pieces rather than large shards. It is also much harder to scratch than the plastic alternatives, styrene, acrylic and perspex, so will preserve your clear view out for far longer.

Summerhouses Strong Cylinder Lock
Summerhouses Strong Cylinder Lock II

Strong cylinder lock

A strong cylinder lock will help keep your summerhouse secure. It'll keep your belongings safe from unwanted visitors, and it'll stop the kids from messing up your relaxation space.

Summerhouses No Glued Together Offcuts
Summerhouses No Glued Together Offcuts II

No glued together offcuts

We only use full lengths of timber in our buildings - we don't glue separate pieces together with finger joints. Not only are they stronger, but they look much better too.

Summerhouses Fixings Included
Summerhouses Fixings Included II

Fixing pack Included

We include all of the screws, nails and fixings needed to put your garden building together, not everyone is that thoughtful! So there's no need to worry about the type of screws, or length of nails etc you might need to get started, it's all there in the pack!

Summerhouses Avoid Sagging Roof
Summerhouses Avoid Sagging Roof II

Avoid sagging roof

Our summerhouses have robust 70mm x 35mm roof beams, which are reinforced by additional supports at the sides of each roof panel. With the metal spider brackets this gives a very strong roof structure to make sure that roof sagging is an issue that will only be suffered by the customers of companies that supply lesser products.

Summerhouses High Internal Eaves (5'11'')

High internal eaves

The high internal eaves (1.82m/5'11") give a spacious, light and airy feel once you're inside. This is the lowest point of the roof which quickly rises still giving plenty of headroom for all of you over 5'11"!

Easy To Build Panel System Vantage 190

Easy to build panel system

The 16mm shiplap walls come in panels, so each piece of timber is cut to size. These panels are easy to slot in-between the solid 60mm or 86mm corner posts, making the construction of your summerhouse quick and simple, almost like a giant jigsaw puzzle.

Avoid Planning Permission Vantage 190

Avoid Planning Permission

This building is under 2.5m high.
Why does this matter? Well, under permitted development rights buildings under 2.5m high can be placed as close as you want to a boundary (eg. a fence line) without planning permission. Buildings that are over 2.5m high, however, need to be placed over 2m away from any boundary
(eg. a fence line), which means that with taller buildings you end up with a lot of space behind them. If you want to find out more about permitted development rights see our planning guide

Pressure Treated Floor Bearers Vantage 190

Pressure treated floor bearers

By pressure treating our floor bearers we protect the lowest part of the building from rot and insect infestation. This forces the treatment deep into the timber using a large pressure treatment tank. Due to this costly but effective process we can offer our customers a genuine 10 year guarantee against rot and insect infestation on the bearers with no need for the customer to re-treat this timber at any point during that time.
What is a Summerhouse?
A Summerhouse is a garden building made from pre-fabricated timber panels attached to a timber framework. Summerhouses also include several long windows, allowing large amounts of sunlight to fill the garden building.
How big is this Summerhouse?
This Summerhouse’s measurements are: 1.89m (6' 2") x 1.69m (5' 6")
How high is this Summerhouse?
It is 2.31m (7' 6") high
How much is this Summerhouse?
This product starts from £1,049.99
What foundation do I need for this Summerhouse?
We recommend a flat, level concrete base at least 100mm bigger on each side. e.g. A 4m by 3m building would have a base of 4.2m by 3.2m. See more details here.
Where can I visit you? Do you have a store near me?
We have 6 branches across the UK. Click here to find the nearest one! Please check with us before you visit if you are travelling to see a particular product.
What timber do you use in this Summerhouses?
We use slow-grown spruce timber for the main structure of the Summerhouse. Spruce is less porous than Pine and so less likely to shrink, warp or split.
What type of glass do you use in this Summerhouse?
We only use 4mm toughened glass in our Summerhouses which is a far more hard-wearing and resilient material than commonly used Perspex and styrene.
What is shiplap cladding?
Shiplap cladding is named after the old boatmaking technique with overlapping boards, which means that the natural timber can expand and contract with the seasons and not create gaps. The curve or channel of shiplap cladding enables water to run off easily, helping to protect your Summerhouse from the effects of damp.

This image shows a brief reference to how your products will arrive. All of our garden buildings are made from kiln dried quality graded timber; if it is to be stored prior to construction and treatment all parts must be covered to prevent moisture from warping the timber.
