    Heavy duty frames

The chunky 60mm or 86mm thick corner posts coupled with the 45mm thick framework either side makes our summerhouses very solid. The 16mm thick cladding adds to this rigidity and gives a substantial look and feel.
  • 4mm Toughened Glass
We use 4mm toughened glass in our windows and doors for increased safety and security. It's much better than 3mm horticultural glass, commonly found in garden buildings, as it's a lot harder to break, and if ever it is broken it breaks into small pieces rather than large shards. It is also much harder to scratch than the plastic alternatives, styrene, acrylic and perspex, so will preserve your clear view out for far longer.
  •

    Strong cylinder lock

A strong cylinder lock will help keep your summerhouse secure. It'll keep your belongings safe from unwanted visitors, and it'll stop the kids from messing up your relaxation space.
  • No glued together offcuts
We only use full lengths of timber in our buildings - we don't glue separate pieces together with finger joints. Not only are they stronger, but they look much better too.
  • Avoid Planning permission
This building is under 2.5m high.
Why does this matter? Well, under permitted development rights buildings under 2.5m high can be placed as close as you want to a boundary (eg. a fence line) without planning permission. Buildings that are over 2.5m high, however, need to be placed over 2m away from any boundary
(eg. a fence line), which means that with taller buildings you end up with a lot of space behind them. If you want to find out more about permitted development rights see our planning guide

    Fixing pack Included

We include all of the screws, nails and fixings needed to put your garden building together, not everyone is that thoughtful! So there's no need to worry about the type of screws, or length of nails etc you might need to get started, it's all there in the pack!
  • Easy to build panel system
The 16mm shiplap walls come in panels, so each piece of timber is cut to size. These panels are easy to slot in-between the solid 60mm or 86mm corner posts, making the construction of your summerhouse quick and simple, almost like a giant jigsaw puzzle.
  • Pressure treated floor bearers
By pressure treating our floor bearers we protect the lowest part of the building from rot and insect infestation. This forces the treatment deep into the timber using a large pressure treatment tank. Due to this costly but effective process we can offer our customers a genuine 10 year guarantee against rot and insect infestation on the bearers with no need for the customer to re-treat this timber at any point during that time.
  • Slow Grown Spruce
Slow grown Spruce is used to make our summerhouse walls. This is because Spruce produces less sap than Pine and other redwoods, reducing any stains and damage to the furniture you place in your summerhouse.
  •

    High internal eaves

The high internal eaves (1.82m/5'11") give a spacious, light and airy feel once you're inside. This is the lowest point of the roof which quickly rises still giving plenty of headroom for all of you over 5'11"!

Vantage 220 Summerhouse W2.2m x D1.9m

The image above shows a brief reference to how your products will arrive. All of our garden buildings are made from kiln dried quality graded timber, if it is to be stored prior to construction and treatment all parts must be covered to prevent moisture from warping and rotting the timber.

Hi, just finished erecting and painting the exterior/interior and have to say that we are absolutely delighted with the end result. No problems with the building of the unit, and great quality at a great price

This is review of the Dunster House 2.2m x 1.9m summerhouse, We chose a black shingle roof and Cornish cream paint. Having considered several alternatives we settled for The Dunster House summerhouse. As we were restricted for space we decided against the 2.5 x 2.1 due to the roof overhang of 9" and 12" in each corner which should be factored in to the overall measurement. The summerhouse arrived in sections some of which are quite heavy and require two persons to lift. The materials used are fairly substantial and the instructions are easy to follow. Having the right tools and a knowledge of DIY is an advantage. My only criticism is the fitting of the metal roof housing and ball. I chose to purchase a threaded metal rod from B&Q for £4 which attaches to the ball and fits perfectly through the metal roof housing and brass looking bracket that holds the purlins, secured with two nuts from the inside. Roof shingles are supplied by IKO , their website has some useful hints. We encountered no issues with customer services, any query we had was dealt with in a friendly and helpful manner. The summerhouse was delivered ahead of schedule, is well made and an attractive addition to our garden. We are very pleased with the overall results and are glad we made this choice.

Start to finish, no complaints what so ever. Prompt and efficient delivery which everything in tact and in order. RapidGrid system made quick work of laying a foundation and works really well. Clear and easy instructions for assembly even for those with limited diy skills. The only challenging part is lay the roofing shingle, it looks much better than standard roof option but you need to plan ahead to avoid unnecessary waste as I had to go out and purchase an additional pack which didnt quite match up. Also had to chisel out the hole for the locking mechanism housing as it was sitting proud and the door wouldn't shut but was fairly straight forward to do.

From the initial contact with the company right through to completion i was impressed.the quality of the website and my discussion with the representative convinced me this was the right product. It was delivered on time, packaged extremely well and on opening, the quality was obvious. The design an cuts were very accurate with fairly easy instructions. I built it in a day. The roof shingles took another day, painting and finishing took the third day. The finish is very precise and we are very pleased with it. Yes i could have bought cheaper elsewhere but considering the quality i rate this as extremely good value

Very pleased with this product .viewed at Bedford and ordered same day took 4 weeks to arrive .did self assembly you need to read instructions carefully more than once . Would be easier with two people but managed on my own. We chose the roof shingles which are time consuming to cut and fit but think it adds to the great look of the finished summer house .the only disappointment was the name plate for what it cost I don't think I would bother with one again .that said I enjoyed building and now look forward to using it plus the wife is over the moon with it,we think it's like the tar dis more room inside than you think.

We have been very happy with the buying process, from start to finish. The Summer House was delivered as promised, and came with clear fitting/building instructions. My wife and I were able to erect it together without difficulty. We are very pleased with the finished product.

Just some feedback about my recent purchase from your company. From my initial enquiry and contact with your agent (jenny) who advised me as to what i needed. i was extremely impressed. Your website very concise and professional. I was kept updated regularly about my delivery and on the day of delivery your driver had to park quite far away but drove it to my house on a forklift. It was extremely well packaged. And delivered in good condition. When it came to assembly, the instructions were clear enough and i immediately enjoyed the quality of the product. The measurements and cuts very precise. I erected it easily in 1 day. All screws separately packaged and labeled. It took the second day to do roof covering but i ordered the shingles as an extra and there was more than enough to cover. I have 1 pack left over. The third day was finishing. I ordered the premium cornish cream. 4 tins delivered. More than enough to do 3 coats and i have 1new tin left. We are particularly glad that we didn't order a cheaper summerhouse from a competitor. Though a little more expensive, your product is greatly superior and i therefore find that it is extremely good value considering the quality. I would be happy to give any endorsement or testimonial to you product. Many thanks.

My wife has wanted a Conservatory in her garden for longer than I can remember - the only problem was a suitable location to catch the evening sun - upto now this proble was insurmountable as no party of the house wasin the right place at the right time!. One day we had a brainwave - a Summerhouse located in the right part of the garden would do the trick - now the problem was finding one of the right size to fit in with our existing landscaping and garden layout , so after researching on the web in the Spring we came across the Dunster House website, travelled to the showroom in Wellingborough and met "Valery" the first time! After making preparations for our new arrival ...."Valery" is our saviour and came to our rescue just a couple of months ago, and we are delighted! Our neighbours all love the new colours of Cornish Cream and Mendip Mist, and to make our Valery a little different, we left out the 'dividers' in the windows, and painted part of the interior white. Very happy with our purchase and our thanks to the Team at Dunster House for solving our Conservatory problem!

Thank you for your review. Our nearest branch to Wellingborough is Bedford so we think you might have traveled further than you thought!

the sales team were very friendly and helpfull, When the kit arrived I could see it was all very well made and protected in plastic. It went up pretty easily following the clear instructions. The whole process has taken me about 5 days to get it built and get the roof tiles on and to get it all painted. It looks really good now we have put three chairs and a little table inside, I think it would take another chair but it would be a bit tight. we are very pleased with the whole experience.
