Please note that Thatched Gazebos have since been discontinued. However, we still offer a wide range of other fantastic wooden garden Gazebos and Pergolas. Rather than detail the features of a Dunster House Thatched Gazebo, this article will cover the many benefits of choosing one of the alternative garden structures available.
We are constantly modifying and redesigning our products so that we can improve and develop. This ensures that we continue to provide the best quality and most competitive products to our customers.
Our Gazebos and Pergolas make the perfect feature in any garden. They are expertly crafted and constructed to the very highest standard using spruce timber. The timber is pressure treated to ensure the structure is protected from the elements. This guarantees your satisfaction for many years to come.
Whether you are after a tranquil shelter or an area to entertain at a garden party, you are sure to find a Gazebo or Pergola that meets your needs. They are ideal for use as a hot tub shelter, BBQ hut or a space to sit and relax out in your garden.
Fully Pressure Treated
All of the timbers used to make Dunster House Gazebos and Pergolas are pressure treated to prevent decay and insect infestation. This is why we can provide a genuine 10-year guarantee.
Pressure treatment ensures that the preservative is forced deep into the timber, providing long lasting low maintenance (we suggest applying a good quality water repellent to increase longevity). Some other companies will supply untreated wood, or at the most only stain or dip treat it. That means you would have to keep retreating it yourself in order to maintain it.
Heavy Duty Structure
We know how important it is to have a strong and robust frame. Heavy duty timbers, extra strong posts and supportive corner braces, along with pressure treatment, ensure you will have a Gazebo or Pergola that’s built to last.
We have some of the thickest posts on the market. Our Chunky Gazebo and Pergola range feature substantial upright posts as thick as 145mm x 145mm.
Our Chunky Gazebo and Pergola posts are engineered to reduce splitting, warping and twisting. The routed grooves add to the beautiful aesthetic. The posts are laminated after treatment to help bond the timber together. This creates a strong post which is less likely to shrink, swell and twist.
Supporting the roof of our Chunky Gazebos is a unique galvanised metal spider bracket, which connects heavy duty 140mm thick roof purlins. This gives great strength and rigidity to the Gazebo roof.
Our gazebos all come with solid wooden rooves. This offers great stability and creates the perfect shelter and shade from the weather. The roof of our Chunky Gazebos are made from pressure-treated 19mm thick tongue and groove interlocking timbers. The roof on our other Gazebos is made from sturdy 15mm thick shiplap boards.
Dunster House Pergolas have thick heavy-duty roof beams with precise pre-cut notches for easy assembly and a snug fit.
To finish off the look of your Pergola is the growing lattice on top. This is ideal for plants and vines to grow and climb, or you could even entwine some fairy lights.
Clear Perspex Dome (Erin Gazebo Range)
Our Erin Gazebos really are something special, with their unique feature of a clear perspex dome on top. This dome acts like a skylight, allowing sunlight in during the day and giving a view of the night sky in the evening. The dome is made from a strong and shatterproof material. It is fixed to the Gazebo roof in a way that allows ventilation and prevents condensation from building up.
Customisable Design
If you require added privacy or extra protection from the weather, we offer a range of options to customise your Gazebo or Pergola. Options include timber walls for a more enclosed feel, glazed panels so you can still view your surroundings, and louvre panels for ventilation (wall options are available at extra cost and dependent on the model). These wall panels can be constructed in any combination you like, so you can make your own individual stand-out feature in your garden.
