If you’re limited on outside space or simply require a smaller log cabin than some of the larger range of cabins we sell, then why not take a look at the wide range of small log cabins which may just be the perfect fit for your garden!

Whilst the definition of a small log cabin can be subjective, our definition of a small cabin is generally anything under 5m x 5m.

Log Cabin Wall Thickness

Our log cabins are available in a range of wall thicknesses; 45mm and 62mm Insulated (which is equivalent to 140mm U-Value).

U-Values provide a measure of heat loss found within building materials used for walls, floors and roofs. If you intend to use your cabin all-year-round, rather than just seasonally, you should choose as thick a wall as possible to maximise the insulation.

To allow you to compare options we quote the U-Values of the walls below.

Our 45mm walls contain over 60% more wood than a 28mm wall and are ideal for use all-year-round. (U-Value 1.93 w/m2 k)

Our 62mm walls are a triple tongue and groove sandwich of timber and polyisocyanurate insulation. This achieves a U-Value equivalent to 140mm walls. (U-Value 0.59w/m2 K)
