I’ve had the cabin nearly a year now, installed it July-August last year, the installation was straight forward copying the instructions but a little know how helps a lot, that said when asking for advice an answer was given within a day and normally was a misunderstanding of the plans and materials supplied. One dissatisfaction is the advice on leaving 5cm for shrinkage, as it was a hot year the wood was dry and stable, now however after a damp winter the outer walls have settled but not shrunk, they have grown at least 5cm which means I have gaps where I left a 5cm slot for the roof timbers to fall should the shrinkage take place. The advice I would ask Dunster House to give in future builds is to consider before leaving this 5cm gap is wether the wood is dry or wet, so build in dry periodsay may - September leave less gap than you would if building in November- May. Something to consider Dunster House It hasn’t spoiled anything as I’ve manufactured special components to mask the gaps. All in all very very pleased with the cabin and Dunster House
