Understanding Roof Insulation

Our roof insulation is made with double skinned polyurethane bonded to an MFP external top layer. When installed this gives the cabin an overall roof thickness of approximately 55mm, giving the roof a u-value of 0.67 W/m2K.

As you can see from the image, the insulation sits on top of the roof boards you receive with your cabin. So, whatever roofing you decide upon, be it shingles or felt, will be laid on the MFP board. This means you still get a nice, attractive tongue and groove internal finish along with the extra heat gained from the impact of the insulation.

Our effective insulation method is quick and easy to install onto your log cabin.
