Please note: our Thatched Gazebo range has been discontinued. Therefore we don’t have Thatched Gazebo Foundations specifically. However, we use the same foundations for our current range of Gazebos and Pergolas. This article will tell you more about the current gazebos we have. Rather than our Thatched Gazebo foundations.
A Garden Building is nothing without solid foundations. Which is why we are continually striving to make our structures the best on the market through years of research and customer reviews. When discussing foundations, we are referring to what we feel are the basic necessities for any Gazebo.
When looking for a garden gazebo, most people are looking for two things: high quality finish and sturdiness. Gazebos are often used for shelter during al fresco dining or as an escape from a busy day. You don’t want to worry about it blowing away in the wind.
Quality materials to a high specification
Our Gazebo range are heavy duty materials, designed to withstand the stresses of daily use, without compromising on the overall look. Our Gazebo ranges have extra thick posts, starting from 70mm x 70mm (such as our Utopia Gazebos), increasing to 120mm x 120mm (for example our Leviathan Gazebos).
These posts are the support for the roof, which features thick, heavy duty purlins to avoid the sagging over time. These are easily decorated with lights, hanging flowers or any personal touches you may want to add to truly make it yours.
Our roof panels are made from 19mm thick, full length pieces of timber with tongue and groove fittings. Tongue and groove allow the pieces of timber to fit together seamlessly, similar to a jigsaw. This not only ensures that the pressure treatment has reached deep within the grain. It also leaves you with a structure far stronger than if we used glued together offcuts like some of our competitors.
Even for our dome Gazebos, we use the best materials around. We secure the Perspex dome in a unique way that prevents condensation build up. The durable dome is made from Polyester Terephthalate Glycol. This means it is clear enough so you can see the stars at night, but strong enough to resist shattering if a stray ball is kicked your way.
Added stability
The weight alone would make this a strong free standing structure. That could easily withstand all of the elements that the UK weather can throw at it. For additional stability against the elements, we provide you with all the fixings. Secure your Gazebo to the ground including an L shaped bracket for the ranges that require it. The instruction manual will clarify how to secure your structure depending on which base you have chosen (grass, decking or concrete).
You want your Gazebo to stand out for all the right reasons. Which is why we have pressure treated our entire Gazebo and Pergola range. During this treatment, we add a colourant to give your Gazebo or Pergola a rich brown colour so it will compliment any style of garden. The pressure treating process protects your structure from becoming susceptible to rot and fungal decay and allows us to offer you a 10 year guarantee.
