This new case study focuses on the story of Harry Potter and his charming Tulipley Greenhouse W2.4m x D3.0m.
Harry Potter lives in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire and has been our customer since 2012.
Harry was looking for the perfect greenhouse which would allow him to grow more vegetables and plants with the ultimate purpose of becoming more self-sufficient.
"Bought a greenhouse as I wanted to grow more of my own flowers and vegetables," explained Harry on his personal reasons for acquiring the garden building.
However, the garden building had yet to meet some demanding and mandatory features, according to Harry it "Needed to be wooden to match existing shed. Also had to be of sufficient size with safety glass yet at an affordable price."
Choosing the right Greenhouse was not an easy choice for Harry. Too many options were available at reasonable prices and Harry had to search extensively for his perfect Greenhouse.
"Large choice of sizes at affordable prices. I had looked around at many garden centers and online."
Finally a decision was made when visiting our main branch. The visible quality of the Greenhouse was ultimately the factor that influenced his decision:
"After visiting Bedford show site, I was satisfied that quality was what I wanted and ordered at that stage. Delivery fitted in with my preparation schedule."
According to Harry the building process was quite easy, didn't last long and no major problems were encountered.
"I built it on my own and it took two days. Whilst the initial viewing of all the separate items was of concern, the instructions were clear enough to make erection simple. I would recommend anyone doing it on their own to invest in suitable clamps to hold items in place when screwing together. All parts supplied - none missing."
There was definitely a design in mind for the space before the project started and our greenhouse fitted in perfectly.
When asked about the main benefits or favourite aspects of the finished project, Harry was conclusive: "It is suitable in all respects. Wide door, higher than most to give sufficient height for tomatoes and cucumber growing."
The reactions from other people were all very positive. Friends, neighbours and relatives were captivated by the finished eye-catching garden building: "All highly impressed."
Harry would be very keen on making further improvements in the future but sadly he has some constraints that are not that easy to overcome: "Unfortunately no more space otherwise would have extended further."
When asked if he would buy from Dunster House again and would recommend the company to family and friends the answer was a definite "Yes".
