Building a Front Porch

Build your porch quickly and easily thanks to the full panels provided. There is no need to waste time building up walls or fixing doors together.

For your ease and convenience, we include all the screws, bolts, nails and other fixings needed to put together your structure. There’s no need to worry about what sort of bolts or size of nails you’ll need. We include all the right fixings for the job as standard.

*Flashing and brackets/fixings required to attach the structure to your wall are not included. As different types of walls require different fixings, you will need to seek professional advice as to which fixings to use.

You do not have to be an expert at DIY to build a Dunster House garden building. We do provide you with comprehensive pictorial instructions. But we also understand that DIY is not for everyone. Therefore, you may want to consider getting in touch with a local carpenter or handyman to install it for you.

According to Planning Portal, porches are considered to be permitted development, therefore typically not requiring planning permission. Our porches are less than 3m2 in floor space and are under 3m in height, meaning you are less likely to have to apply. However, please take a look at the planning permission criteria in full, or contact your local authority to clear up any confusion before your purchase.

Our Addroom Porches are designed to add extra space, style and a secure location to store belongings. The porches come in two different styles depending on the look you want to achieve for the entrance of your home. All the porches are made from WPC (wood polymer composite) a material that is known to be extremely low maintenance, easy to clean and has a relatively long life-span.

The WPC brick-effect porches give character, and have been designed in a way to blend in with your property. Choose this rather than a bricked porch as it will reduce the costs, offer the same use, and provide a realistic attractive look. Alternatively, we offer a grooved WPC exterior. Personalise these exterior walls with a ‘BEDEC Multi Surface Paint’ that can be purchased from a number of retailers. Customise it to stand out and create a vibrant entrance for yourself, family and guests. Both versions come with grey slate effect roofing, an impressive look added to the 10mm thick WPC roof.

The Addroom Porches are not only attractive and stylish, but come with highly advanced secure locks on the uPVC windows and doors. On the door there is a 10-point locking system, and the windows are multipoint locking. With these quality security features, you can comfortably store your belongings without any worries.

Wooden Porch Canopies

Our traditional looking wooden porch canopies will add shelter over the door of your property, protecting you and any visitors from a downpour. These chunky wooden structures are a cost-effective alternative to oak framed porches. They are just as strong, and look just as good, but for a fraction of the price! Made from pressure treated timber, they are built to last, and come with a 10 year guarantee against rot and insect infestation.
