I ordered an Artemis Chunky Gazebo 5m x3m and within three weeks it was delivered on the day they’d promised. We chose this Gazebo from Dunster House after seeing Costco’s 4m x 4m version and then searching online. Now it’s built and complete and after revisiting Costco I can say we’re very very pleased we went with Dunster House. The construction is strong, the roof looks great both inside and out, and so much more preferable than the metal roof on Costco’s. On the day of delivery the tracking of the truck’s location was very useful and accurate. The guys in the truck were helpful and between us we offloaded the parts onto the drive. Do be aware it’s curb side delivery only which I understood but make sure you’re ok to move it all once they’ve gone if you need to use the drive! The delivery is of hundreds of pieces of wood, most being the roof tongue and groove pieces. Sort these into sizes before you start the roof! Also, I used screws with pilot holes rather than nails for these pieces, and found a gap of 4mm was needed to get to the top rather than the 2mm as suggested. Using plastic packing spacers kept this accurate. Don’t worry about them joining on the rafters perfectly, the roof covering covers this. The wood is a nice colour, but I am surprised how little the pressure treatment seems to penetrate the soft spruce... when cutting a piece it is very white on the inside.... time will tell how effective against moisture and pests it is.... The instructions provided were clear and accurate. I prepared a slightly uneven area with concrete “piers†based on the plans to make it level, and the structure fitted on them perfectly. There are no instructions for the shingle roof but YouTube has loads to look at. Not sure the massive roll of polythene is quite the right under base for the shingles but I just threw it over and pulled it taught. Seems to be ok. I’ve added mini guttering too, which is effective and stops splash back into the covered area. The finished product is great. The inside roof it lovely to look at and the structure is very square and straight. I did manage to put this up on my own. I’d recommend a helping hand for some of the big bits and someone to pass pieces of roof to you. This took me three solid days to complete in all, which was longer than I expected. Be aware you’ll need to be ok walking on the roof to complete the shingles at the top.... it’s a long way to fall off so if you’re not keen on height work get someone lined up who is. Also, keep the “props†in situ when on the roof to minimise strain on the structure. An experienced roofer would sort the shingles in an hour or two but I took ages as I’m unfit and not that keen on heights! In conclusion, this is value for money and I’d recommend it. Make sure where you’re putting it is level and solid as it’s very heavy. Lovely once up and my wife and I are really pleased with the result! Just what we’d been looking for.

Final payment required 2 days beforehand, delivery was booked for Friday, we were chased on Monday and then again Tuesday. When I queried this I was told that payment had to be made on the Tuesday.
