It is important that you find the shed that is right for you. So here are some things we would recommend doing to make it easier to welcome your alleyway shed to your home:

1. Measure up – we have many different sheds for different occasions find your perfect shed by understanding the space you have to work with. Get the dimensions of your side alley or garden.
2. Understand your need – this shed is a smaller size and many benefits come with that, such as discretion and no need for planning permission, but if you want a shed to use as a workshop this probably isn’t for you. Planning Permission for Sheds

Are you looking for something a little larger but still want to dodge planning permission and permits? According to a law change in 2008, an application is unnecessary for certain sheds. The criteria are as follows:

• Domestic use only – property members
• Keep it to the back or the sides of your house
• Eaves not exceeding 2.5m
• Not encroaching on property borders
