Superb building with very clear and comprehensive instructions. We were daunted by the big pile of materials but got the log cabin up in no time. Just my girlfriend and myself! So pleased with the resulting building, weve been sitting out there most evenings since its been built... Love it!

I am pleased with the result but had some problems en route which required several communications with your customer service department. Others I solved myself. The main problem related to the connection of the purlins to the spider as the holes had been drilled wrongly. This necessitated inserting wedges on top of four of the purlins and as a result the other four do not sit on the circular plate which spoils the internal finish (see photo showing wedge on one purlin and gap under its neighbour). I felt the instructions were only 90% good. Several key points were missing or assumed. I cannot now remember what in detail but recommend that you get someone who has not previously erected a summer house to do so following the instructions and think that the omissions would show up. Fortunately I have a lot of experience with timber so was able to work my way through the difficulties. The skirting boards as supplied would have required joins in conspicuous places since there were inadequate lengths of timber to span the full 2.8 (approx) metres. I replaced these with more substantial ones. This was only one of several places where I felt you had skimped - a false economy in my opinion. When spending this sort of money I would have expected full lengths. Also in various places, eg around the door frame, there were too few screws so significant gaps appeared between the trims carrying the seals and the main frame. One of the storm stays had to be replaced as there was a knot in the middle which caused the length virtually to fall apart. More careful selection of timber is required. I added trims to the roof edging (see photographs) to give a better finish (in my opinion) than just felt. So, over all I am satisfied with the result but feel you have room for improvement with quality control.

First off, we only received this today so the 3 star rating is based on the assembly only - our little one has only played on it for 15 minutes before bed time. It took me - one man, an engineer with 20 years experience) - 10 hours to put this together. I needed assistance to move the larger assemblies from the patio to the grass only - although some parts were a struggle it is doable. Some points to note: 1. The first diagram is awful. It needs redrawing as the perspective is all over the place. As I've said, I'm an engineer (military) with lots of experience in building and I struggled with this diagram. 2. There are some very subtle differences in the fixtures and fittings on each side of the main platform assembly - take care - the diagrams do show this but they are small and can be easily missed. 3. The roof supports are very flimsy. Obviously the kids aren't going to be climbing on this but I live in a very windy area (on the edge of a disused airfield) and I think I'm going to have to buy extra metal braces for the fittings - will this void my warranty..? 4. A couple more ground anchors wouldn't go amiss. Like most people I don't have a perfectly flat lawn and it's currently a bit wobbly. Apart from that it's very good. Don't expect to get Ikea type pre drilled holes. My hands are red raw and my drill is now in recovery...

Although a bit of effort to erect the summerhouse,particularly the shingle roof the final result was wel worth the effort. Now painted the summerhouse has pride of place in our garden refurbishment. The individual sections went together well and there were plenty of screws etc provided. Real value for money.

We bought the squirelfort for our daughters and they love it it really is amazing and a great service provided no problems, have already had people ask about it and recommended yourselves.
