We are very pleased with our "super-shed" it's added genuine, usable space to our home for a growing family. Dunster House were great throughout the sales and installation process, the standard of materials used in construction and the workmanship on assembly is really good. With a base and electrical work it has ended up being a substantial investment for us but worth every penny.

This is a brilliant play frame. It is sturdy, has plenty of features and my 3 year old loves it! I'm sure it will give our family years of pleasure. All the kit was delivered very quickly and with clear instructions. It took a couple of adults a day to put together but the instructions were such that it was very straightforward. Highly recommended kit and company.

Some good things: - Customer services very helpful! Not sure why some others have complained about them. I asked questions and got polite answers. - You get what it says on the website. Everything is of the quality would expect and hope for you for such a product. - Unlike some big DIY stores, the paint is high quality trade paint, the wood is clean and mostly free from splits and knots, the nails and screws are good quality and the fittings and shingles excellent. - There are plenty of screws and nails plus they supply spare planks of wood such as logs, roof and floor. - Everything goes together as described with some care required to make sure you are using the right bits in the right place. - Windows are better quality than my previous cabin and double glazing is thick and good quality. To note: - They don't take away the packaging materials and there is a lot of waste wood, plastic sheeting etc. used as packing. - The instructions are more a series of notes, not a step by step guide. The YouTube videos are essential to understand the instructions! - I built mine (almost, I am still going) on my own. Its not a technically hard job but it does involve some labour, DIY skills and time. - Some parts of the build look easy on the videos but climbing over the roof on slippery plastic sheeting is a bit dodgy for anyone over 35 years old! - The real pain is painting. There is lots of it and several coats are required. - Even if they put it up for you, you still have to paint it yourself. I am doing mine as I go rather than at the end to protect it as best I can from the rain whilst building it. My suggestion would be remember what you are buying and don't "spec it up" too high. Higher spec summerhouses can be bought elsewhere at 4 - 10 times the cost and are manufactured as large components in factories to control quality and minimise on build time. They are not supplied as many bits of wood for DIY construction. As a low cost, self-build, summerhouse Dunster House is very good value. Don't buy from any cheaper company to save a couple of pounds, you will get what you pay for!

We love our summerhouse. It's perfect and has fitted into our garden beautifully. Friends admire its sound construction and handsome appearance and we are suitably smug! It's a perfect addition as it's a light and sunny place for meals, for reading, writing, drawing or chatting. Perfect when dull days make it rather dark in our Victorian house. It's also become an unofficial space for my husband to eat cake with his friends while they put the world to rights. I can't imagine how we managed without our 'retreat'.

My wife is absolutely delighted by her new retreat from the household. There she feels she is in heaven; in her reading, the ever-changing views, and entertaining our first now seven month grandchild (in particular the feeding of pheasants just in front of the doors). From my perspective preparation of the base was broadly straightforward despite being on a slope, as was the erection of the superstructure. Inevitably some minor modifications were needed to enhance robustness and divert rainwater from spilling off the roof across the doorway. Performance over the coming winter will be closely watched.

This gazebo is amazingly good value for the price. When I am asked how much it cost most people do not believe me. The construction is straightforward. The quality is first class and it enhances the corner of my garden over a hot tub. I would certainly recommend this product
