The best decision we have made. Very pleased with the product. Sales personnel were very helpful and guided us well. Delivery was on time. The instructions were very clear however we had to watch the installation on you tube video as well. It took us a day and half to fully install. We would recommend this summer house to any one.

we had our giant construction kit delivered, it covered half our garden when all unloaded. We had taken the choice of putting it together ourselves so as to paint the side and back that would not be accessible after construction. The construction is good solid wood but we would definitely recommend using the option of having the unit built for you if its possible. the Guide to building it was confusing and ambiguous in places, as standard instructions for all units were first out of which you pulled the information for the unit you bought and the specialist parts were all tagged on the end and seemed to be in no particular order. The plans could have been made so much simpler to follow instead of having to flick backwards and forwards to do the next stage. The write up does warn that natural wood has a tendency to warp and we did have several pieces which did this, It wasn't insurmountable but did make some parts difficult to fix. But because of these twisted and warped logs at the front we had to adjust the fitting of the doors. would we buy from Dunster again? Yes we definitely would as we are so pleased with finished result.

What an excellent purchase! We are so delighted with our new Severn log cabin. Ordering was simple and the Dunster House staff were delightful and helpful. Delivery was super efficient with friendly guys who also gave me some top tips for the install. Put simply I found probably the single most important thing was to get a very level base. Don't scrimp on this as it makes the rest of the build simple and a pleasure. The materials are of really top quality and I love that Dunster provide an extra longest length of cabin log as a spare incase there's one or two issues with any of the other logs. I managed the build on my own but take care with the apex pieces and the purlings. In summary, couldn't be happier with our cabin project. It's really made the area in our garden and I'd certainly recommend Dunster House to others.

Following delivery of this gazebo I would thoroughly recommend this as it is an excellent high quality feature to our lovely garden. Instructions were easy to follow, it was a two man job and was easily constructed. Following completion the roof was finished off with green shingle felt and it now looks great.

A fantastic product, it looks great and gives us a new aspect to our garden. Ideal for enjoying our outside space in all weathers. My advice would be to buy as large a building as you can, make sure the base is completely level and that there is enough space all around the proposed site for erection. My building was erected well within a day by a great three man team. A very contented customer.

The price/ quality combination is unbeatable for this product. It is generally well made and very well designed. We used their very expensive erection service but were quite glad we did when we saw how long it took two professionals to put it together! The erection team were absolutely first-class - very polite and particularly helpful. I got the impression that they were proud of their workmanship and would not leave until we were satisfied. They also gave some invaluable advice about after-care of the product. All dealings with the various people at Dunster House revealed a very professional operation. Now some negatives - 1.the contract documentation is a bit over the top, although it certainly covers every conceivable possible thing that could go wrong in the transaction! 2. The Rapid Grid was a nightmare. We had it laid by a contractor who will be doing the surrounding patio. When he left it was 100% perfect and level. Two weeks later, after some very hot weather, the grid had lifted, possibly because of expansion and contraction of the plastic. I spent an entire day trying to get it back down. this is not easy because once filled with shingle the whole point is that it will not go down! Eventually I had it level again well within the allowable tolerance but by the time the erection crew came it was once more out at the edges. It was still within tolerance though so the crew fitted packing pieces under the frame. There were no instruction on how to lay the grid. I asked Dunster House technical for help because there were not quite enough grid pieces to lay it as a rectangle and have the recommended overlap all round. They said just lay it as rectangle and there are enough - well there were but not laid as a rectangle. in practice it was just OK because the bits where the overlap was minimal took little load.Had we known we would have laid one extra grid square at those two points. 3.The Georgian window bars are very pretty but are hell on earth to fit. They were almost all slightly oversized and most had obviously already been shortened post-manufacture as there were scorch marks from the power sander used. They have to be painted before fitting and they swell with water based paint so had to be shortened again! I would strongly advise only screwing them to the windows rather than nailing as there is a gap between the rails and the glass which will in time get dirty and spoil the interior view. The information provided says that they do fit flush but by the they don't. In any case it is essential to seal the glass with silicone sealant so this bead stops the flush fit if nothing else does. Be very careful fitting them too - use only short screws to avoid hitting the glass an breaking it (useful tip from the erection crew!) Overall - It is a lovely product and worth the time and effort to get it right. I have panelled it inside with similar slow grown spruce to give it an even more luxurious look - so go ahead and buy it, you will not be sorry!
