Once the ground was prepared
Once the ground was prepared, it proved to be a satisfying project. Three of us were able to finish it on a 3 day weekend. The cut and quality of the timber was very good.

Evil Amy - great product
Guys, your product names...you'll have to explain Evil Amy at some point! I ordered the aforementioned Evil Amy and extension and have nearly finished building it myself despite some inclement weather. The product is super. Great quality. I do think the instructions could be clearer and it would help if the parts were labelled, but it isn't critical - there is enough there to support even a novice builder like me. I'm still waiting for the roofing felt which didn't come with the original delivery, but hopefully, it's on its way. Can't wait to start using it - but I have to fight off my wife and daughter who have designs of their own!

Quality log cabin
I ordered the 6 x 3M Assassin comprising a 3 x 3M Terminator 45mm log cabin and a matching 3 x 3M gazebo for delivery during early August. The ordering process was easy enough, although I was asked to phone the order via a salesman instead of simply ordering online. Happy to do this as I needed some advice on accessories. Delivery was made on time and the two guys manoeuvred the enormous package onto an unused area of my drive. The package was well wrapped to keep water and moisture out. A week later I assembled a small team of installers comprising myself, my son and two son-in-laws and we spent the first two hours transferring all of the components to our back garden. Back breaking work! Im hopeless at DIY but luckily two of the team were experienced DIYers and we soon had the base down and squared off for the log cabin. Once the initial wall sections are fitted it seemed to flow quite easily from there. It has to be said that the supplied instructions are pretty poor and the build may be beyond the scope of the average DIYer. A competent amateur carpenter would have no problem with the actual build but may still have struggled with the rather confusing instructions. The website warns that wood is a natural product and some degree of warping is to be expected. We found this to be true with some of the wall logs and one of the roof beams, but we only had to give up on one wall log, which was badly twisted. Thankfully the company supply a couple of spares. We appeared to have a vital pack of long screws missing but B&Q came to the rescue! With the help of our resident experts we managed to assemble the entire log cabin with side gazebo in two days, including felting the roof and installing doors and windows. This left a lot of finishing to be done, such as door and window adjustments, fitting hardware such as door stays and, most importantly, treating the timber inside and out with Eco Shield wood treatment. The latter took almost another full day for one person (me). I also fitted guttering at the back using brown guttering, fittings and pipework purchased inexpensively from B&Q. I discarded the supplied door locks for one of the doors and purchased heavy duty ones instead, which were significantly better quality and more secure. Approx two weeks post delivery we have a fabulous looking structure that has now been professionally wired for mains electrics and I couldnt be more pleased with it. Would I recommend Dunster House? Yes without a doubt because the product quality is excellent, the company are easy to deal with and delivery service first class. My only criticism is that the instructions are poor and the build assumes more skills than the average DIYer possesses in my opinion.
