  • High internal eaves
The high internal eaves (1.97m/6'5") give a spacious, light and airy feel once you're inside. There'll be no worry about bumping your head... unless you're taller than 6'5" of course.
  •

    Heavy duty frames

The chunky 60mm or 86mm thick corner posts coupled with the 45mm thick framework either side makes our summerhouses very solid. The 16mm thick cladding adds to this rigidity and gives a substantial look and feel.
  • 4mm Toughened Glass
We use 4mm toughened glass in our windows and doors for increased safety and security. It's much better than 3mm horticultural glass, commonly found in garden buildings, as it's a lot harder to break, and if ever it is broken it breaks into small pieces rather than large shards. It is also much harder to scratch than the plastic alternatives, styrene, acrylic and perspex, so will preserve your clear view out for far longer.
  •

    Strong cylinder lock

A strong cylinder lock will help keep your summerhouse secure. It'll keep your belongings safe from unwanted visitors, and it'll stop the kids from messing up your relaxation space.
  • No glued together offcuts
We only use full lengths of timber in our buildings - we don't glue separate pieces together with finger joints. Not only are they stronger, but they look much better too.
  • Georgian Bars
Our windows and doors come with optional sculpted Georgian bars that sit firmly against the glass, rather than float in front of them. When applied to the windows and doors they add a traditional, elegant charm to your cabin. The Georgian bars are easily removed for maintenance, or if you decide you prefer the look of the building without them.
  • Avoid Planning permission
This building is under 2.5m high.
Why does this matter? Well, under permitted development rights buildings under 2.5m high can be placed as close as you want to a boundary (eg. a fence line) without planning permission. Buildings that are over 2.5m high, however, need to be placed over 2m away from any boundary
(eg. a fence line), which means that with taller buildings you end up with a lot of space behind them. If you want to find out more about permitted development rights see our planning guide
  • 10 year guarantee
The bearers of your garden building are pressure treated to help protect your garden building from the ground up. We provide a 10 year guarantee against rot and insect infestation for all pressure treated timbers.
  •

    Fixing pack Included

We include all of the screws, nails and fixings needed to put your garden building together, not everyone is that thoughtful! So there's no need to worry about the type of screws, or length of nails etc you might need to get started, it's all there in the pack!
  • Avoid sagging roof
Our summerhouses have robust 70mm x 35mm roof beams, which are reinforced by additional supports at the sides of each roof panel. With the metal spider brackets and 19mm roof boards this gives a very strong roof structure to make sure that roof sagging is an issue that will only be suffered by the customers of companies that supply lesser products.
  • Easy to build panel system
The 16mm shiplap walls come in panels, so each piece of timber is cut to size. These panels are easy to slot in-between the solid 60mm or 86mm corner posts, making the construction of your summerhouse quick and simple, almost like a giant jigsaw puzzle.
  • Pressure treated floor bearers
By pressure treating our floor bearers we protect the lowest part of the building from rot and insect infestation. This forces the treatment deep into the timber using a large pressure treatment tank. Due to this costly but effective process we can offer our customers a genuine 10 year guarantee against rot and insect infestation on the bearers with no need for the customer to re-treat this timber at any point during that time.

Average Seller Rating:

Superb product which is sadly and badly let down by the non existent customer service team. My order was changed to one I had only enquired about previously and had to be corrected .I enquired about an extra glass window panel in place of a wooden one but was told no but I could have an extra glass panel for the p*** off price of 50% of the total cabin ie around £600. You can only communicate via email or letter as my joiner /installer found out when asking for advice on fixing shingles when up a ladder on his mobile.Be warned the process will test your resolve. My end result is super but I ain't going to give Dunster House photographs to show on the website.I look forward to seeing my review published.
By - Dave Nicoll on Oct 25,16 Dunster House reply:
Dear Dave. Thank you for your review. Regarding our customer service, it‘s true we do prefer to use emails or webforms rather than recording phone calls from our customers. Emails allow you to keep a record of what‘s been said. Phone calls don‘t allow you to keep a record. So, unlike others, we don‘t make false promises and then leave the customer to chase us up to get action with no proof of what‘s been agreed. It also allows complex technical queries to be resolved with the correct department in a fast and efficient manner.

The summer house was delivered on time and was easy to put up with the instructions supplied by Dunster House. It is very good value.

EXCELLENT Product at an affordable price. From ordering through Craig to the delivery the transaction was smooth and efficient. The delivery driver was superb as was the website showing the location of the delivery lorry. Many thanks to all concerned and I have no hesitation in recommending your service and product. We enjoy sitting and resting in our new sanctuary away from all the hustle and bustle of life. We are now joined by our Airedale which means that the only downward side is that we should have ordered a bigger one.

Absolutely thrilled with end result. It has transformed the garden. Shingle roof well worth the extra cost. We left the windows clear which gives a more refined finish.

Hi thank you Dunster house, the product and delivery were spot on and as described if not better. the customer service from start to finish were of the best I have ever experienced when buying items like this, they even managed to get the delivery around my desired time and availability. On the day of delivery I was able to track my summer house via the computer all the way up the country till it arrived at my door! simply excellent. The summer house is amazing and I cant put into words how good the quality is as simply outstanding. the instructions were clear and easy to follow, it took me one full day to fully erect by myself then another day to do the shingle roof. I am so happy I chose this over other competitor summer houses, this truly is our own little get away space in the garden, thanks again Dunster House your products are the best on the market. see picture of the finished product.

I would like to say how impressed I was with the team involved with getting this product to me. The girls I spoke to on the phone were polite and knowledgeable, and the delivery system information very good indeed. Being able to track the delivery vehicle was a real bonus. I can only give the delivery driver, Craig, 10 out of 10 for his work ethic and humour and would appreciate you forwarding this to his management.

Found the sales staff at Liverpool very helpful, the delivery was on time and carefully offloaded into my garage without incident. Assembly was straight forward enough, requiring only a few minor adjustments along the way. The weather held up proceedings somewhat and the roof was covered with a tarpaulin for a week or two until the shingles could be applied but it was definitely worth the wait. The finished product looks every bit as good as more expensive products we viewed, we spend many an evening with a glass of wine, enjoying the garden in the warmth of our summerhouse. We love it.

Having purchased this summer house unseen I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived on time within the 2 weeks promised. Paid for the two man delivery which was great as it is a large/heavy load. Although I am competent at DIY putting the building up and completing the shingle roof on in a day is very ambitious. I found that the building went up easily in a day and the roof a further 1.5 days is more realistic (check-out You Tube for practical ideas re shingling the roof). The summer house has been treated with 3 coats of cream cuprinal inside and out and looks really good. Overall we are delighted with the result. My only comments are that some of the timbers were a bit rough and its a pity that the main frame is not pre-drilled.

Happy with summerhouse - we got what we paid for - I paid for a two man delivery - so pleased i did, they were get - I could not have carried each piece from the road side. It took 2 of us to erect it 2 days .... would have been helpful if a template for the roof tiles had been included - finding 15 degree angle was an issue for those who can't do maths!! However.. really pleased with it - Just got to finish painting :)

The whole process of looking, buying, delivery & assembly could not be faulted in anyway. We absolutely love our summer house...
By - Karen Kinder on Jul 23,16

Good communication before delivery and delivery was bang on time. It is not the easiest thing to erect, it certainly takes 2 people to achieve it. One of the people putting our Summerhouse is a builder and the expertise was required at some points. The instructions were clear and concise and all of the component pieces were clearly identified. When complete the structure is very solid, It does take quite a few coats of paint (we used three coats). We are thrilled with our Summerhouse and can't wait to get some furniture into once the floor varnish is dry! We would highly recommend your company.

A well-designed and relatively easily assembled building that looks absolutely great at the bottom of the garden. The only gripes were some split pieces of timber that needed gluing and clamping to make them useable, and a temporary roof prop that was not the correct length, requiring the roof to be taken down and re-assembled. Other than that - excellent!

Vantage 250 is a good size for a little Summer House, and a pleasant design and well made. The cottage windows are optional, and we may use them at a later date. I will try and send photo later.
By - Michael Ollerhead on May 06,16

We have just purchased a Vantage 250 summerhouse. The unit was delivered on time on Tuesday 12th April by two helpful guys. I had arranged for a concrete base but for various reasons it was not ready. However, the base was finally done on Wednesday 13 April and we started it about 4pm. The following morning, I thought the base was dry enough to put the base of the summerhouse down and start putting it together.I started in Ernest at around 10am, On.my own and with just my wife to help carrying and fetching etc(she was very helpful!!). By 4.30 pm the whole thing was assembled apart from the glazing bars, which we are not using (as a suggestion, the could be an optional extra as I feel sure many people will not use them and we are using lead tape to create an effect). The roof shingles took a full day to put on, probably due to my inexperience. I am an OAP (aged 73 actually) and although I have lots of diy background, I have no real building experience. The quality of the summerhouse really is first class and one of my pals will be in touch with you. Just a couple of suggestions are that a better quality roof finial would be nice and the window/ door fitting could be better, even if optional extra. Other than that, absolutely excellent product and service. The above is not exaggerated, honest. I will send photos when the unit is finally painted.
By - Tony Day on Apr 21,16 Dunster House reply:
Hi Tony. Thank you for your review and for your suggestions. We are glad that you're overall happy with your new garden retreat. Please send us some photos when possible.

This was a really lovely garden house. It was delivered promptly and it assembled well. Unfortunately the paint that came with it was appalling. After 3 coats we gave up. It just sunk into the wood like water. I do not see how it could give any protection. We let it dry and painted it with our own outdoor paint to match the house and it looks great. This was a LOT of extra work. We insultated all the walls, the roof and the floor and finished with tongue and grooved panelling and painted this in shades of blue/green. We also added small guttering that drains to a water butt behind. Frankly for us it could have been not quite so high. It stands up a bit tall in the garden. I suggest you get rid of that paint. It is worthless. My builder said he had never worked with anything so bad and I have painted a hell of a lot of houses and it was just awful to try to work with it. Otherwise it was worth the price.
By - Elizabeth wright on Dec 09,15 Dunster House reply:
