Product: Severn Log Cabin

We ordered the Severn 5x3 summer house with side store online and paid the deposit. Dunster House Customer Support called next day to confirm the order and arrange a delivery date. This was approx 4 weeks which gave me time to prep the base. I used the plastic grid system and had the ground professionally levelled and whacked flat, much quicker and cheaper than concrete. Michelle delivered and loaded all material on to our drive and went over the contents in the well packed pallets. I planned doing the assembly myself but my neighbour volunteered his services and we had it up in jig time, to be honest it is much easier with 2, I managed the side store on my own as itâ€™s smaller than the cabin. I was impressed by the quality of the timbers and how easily they fitted together. Some of the boards had natural bows or twists, so you have to look out for these and try to mix them or it could make assembly difficult and build in slopes and swells on the walls. Our last side wall board had a horrendous twist approx 45mm and we had to use clamps and 6 inch screws to pull it into line. Both myself and my neighbour are technically skilled so we managed this fix but if you canâ€™t get it and need a replacement piece, this would delay the build. Floor and roof boards are all cut to size and easy to fit. Shingle kit looks fab when done but takes forever to do but probably worth it. Doors and windows are double glazed and solid with a simple but effective hinge system. Kit comes complete with all the nails and screws youâ€™ll need and full instructions, there are also tutorials on YouTube if required. Overall, we are well satisfied with the company, product and price and would definitely recommend to family and friends. Once painted, the cabin will look fab at the bottom of the garden. Very good experience. The delivery was tracked all the way from the depot, meaning I knew when it would arrive. The timbers are all heavy, although light enough for one to handle. I needed help putting purlins and posts up as well as the first four and spider centre, after that a one man job. No way this will move, and I didnâ€™t screw to patio slabs. Very sturdy, all cuts slotted like a dream, hefty steel plates will keep roof timbers in place no matter what. Would recommend gazebo and Dunster House. Many Thanks weâ€™re very pleased.

I have already put a reveiw on line 4stars but i feel i must mention that i have just realised that the timber treatment i believe i paid £60 for is not a proper timber treatment persay but is actually a water repellant and will only last 4weeks according to the manufacturer .That info was no explained to me at the point of ordering and leaves me with another cost which i thought i had already paid for , yet one more failure with customer services so disappointing
