The good news; a good quality product which is strong and mostly well designed.... However we had 2 key parts missing (wall sections used on the larger cabins) which we did not realise until we had unpacked everything and started wood treatments and, as someone else said, any problems have to be emailed through as they will not take telephone calls with problems, which is rather inflexible and unfriendly to say the least! However replies were within 24 hours though we never received an apology for the missing parts or inconvenience. The parts took several weeks to come through and do not exactly match the other panels (number of shiplaps and positions) as they were made in UK whereas main building kit main in Poland I think, but we have accepted them as we did not want further delays. Instructions could be better with real photos instead of sketches as things like the floorboards did not line up properly so had to take them all up and but them to fit on Hexagon base (though it clearly says leave a gap) and shingles would have been easier if photos showed how they should be lined up on a complex shape. The one major flaw we found was that the nails supplied for the shingles are slightly too long and leave nasty points through the roof inside - we did not notice this until we had completed it! They simply need to supply shorter tacks for fitting shingles. So overall not perfect and DH should receive phone calls not just emails or letters, but at the end of the day a sturdy nice building which easily beats other kits we saw in terms of quality and rigidity.

I thought I would share the picture of my new constructed summerhouse with you. It was delivered Friday, the build started Sunday and was finished yesterday - so just two days. It's fabulous quality, the driver was lovely and it's fab value for money. If I know anyone who wants an outdoor I will recommend Dunster House every time

The Vantage 350 is great, well made and easy to put together. The only critisisum is unfortunately the delivery driver seemed a bit rushed and under pressure to get to his next delivery. I have made a modiifcation at the end of the roof panels and added an a shamferred strip of 1.5" x 3" wood across the widest end of each roof panel, which has made a huge difference both to the strength of the whole roof and structure, but also the appearance as it looks like the roof now has a facia board. You might wish to consider including this in your manufacture as 6 pieces of wood make a huge difference. The roof panels could be a bit thicker as even the shortest clout nails can protrude through. Also now fitted out with a light and mains socket and ready for next summer.

Have pre-assembled and treated with preservative in barn but am modifying design to revolve to track sun and take advantage of fabulous view to the north. Cut and fill site excavated and reinforced , circular concrete slab cast with inset pivot. Centre bearing manufactured and outer industrial castors ready. Next step is to varnish floor before assembly after Christmas when it starts to get warmer. Will be replacing some screws with bolts to improve holding down and make floor and wall framing into composite beams to supplement additional radial beams. Plan to strengthen roof with additional, intermediate rafters but still undicided on roof covering. Pleased so far but skewed screw fixings into columns tricky and used nail plates to fix floor structure before screwing.

Hi Dunster House, I would just like to write and tell you that my Summerhouse is now up and treated. I am thrilled to bits with it. It went together quite easily and looks a nice addition to the garden. Today I went and got some flooring for it to go on the tongue and groove. I now need some furniture in and it is set. I am also suitably impressed with all the dealings I have had with you from the taking of my order, my deposit, my balance, to being updated about delivery and last but not least your delivery man who was lovely. It makes such a difference. I am also impressed to find that you do your deliveries in house and do not farm them out to contractors. That makes such a difference to customers too, especially those with limited time to hang around waiting - like me! Thank you very much for making it such a good experience. Fantastic product, I'm really pleased with the summerhouse. Unfortunately, I'm appalled by the total lack of after sales/customer service this company has demonstrated, despite their claims to the contrary. I signed the delivery as unchecked as it came on an enormous pallet, in hundreds of pieces, and the driver was unwilling to wait while I cheched every piece. When I did open the pallet and began unpacking, I discovered thet a pane of glass in one of the windows was smashed. Obviously, I wanted to report this to Dunster House asap so I phoned and was told that I could only communicate with customer services via email i.e. you can't speak to a person. This I did and several emails went back and forth with the same clear message - I "had signed for the delivery and therefore any damages were now my responsibility". I even sent a photo of the damaged pane still in situ on the pallet. When I informed "Wendy" at "customer services" that I wasn't satisfied with this response and that I would write to the MD, she emailed back and told me that the MD would simply refer my comments back to "customer service" anyway. In the end, keen to complete my project, I purchased a new pane of glass myself at a cost of £21. In my opinion, that would have been a small price for Dunster House to pay considering I gave them the best part of £2000 of my hard earned! With all that in mind, I reiterate that the product is fantastic but couldn't possibly recommend Dunster House as a company to deal with as I believe that customer service is massively important particularly when making an internet purchase such as this.

We're really pleased with this summerhouse. Instead of the roof coverings offered by Dunster House we decided to cover the roof with lead. This meant that I needed to reduce the roof overhang by one plank - but that was the only change as the roof construction was strong enough to take the extra weight. We've painted it "forget me not" blue with "country cream" windows and doors and it looks as good as others costing two/three times as much.

I am very pleased with the finished product, it is just what I wanted. My only issues concern the building of the summerhouse. There were so many individual components to put together, it took 3 of us all day and then a further day for myself to cover the roof. This was a little overwhelming and would probably be a real problem for some customers. There were also pieces missing that had to be reordereed or sourced locally and that was disappointing too. All in all mixed feelings, especially as this is not an inexpensive purchase.

We are pleased with our summerhouse but to strengthen the roof we have inserted wood bearers in the middle of each section. This has done the trick. The delivery was not without problems!! The load had been dropped or disturbed enroute resulting in a broken glass panel and broken boards. I did get in touch at the time. However, it is now looking very nice.
