Assembling Gazebo

After being unable to find someone to assemble the Gazebo I have done it myself, with a little help from a neighbour. I am halfway through fitting the boards to the roof. Due to my age (88) I am getting someone to do the felting. You have produced a lovely sturdy building. I did have to put an 1/8" packer to the 4 centre rafters on to the beams, and several roof boards neaded trimming but otherwise all went reasonably well. I will send you pictures when completed.

Great experience from start to delivery.Telephone staff very helpful and knowledgeable.Delivery men polite and efficient.Two very minor issues,website specifications not up to date,bit short on some screws and nails.

Okay but it could be better

Ordering our summerhouse was easy and delivered on the day as arranged. It would have been helpful to know that we were on second run, as we excitedly watched the tracker as our load headed towards us and then carried on past and around the South and then headed back . It eventually turned up in the afternoon, so it was a waste of the morning . The summerhouse / log cabin was okay . A lot of the wood was badly warped - especially the floor bearers, which would have consequences later on. I know wood is natural and not machined, but some of it was REALLY bad. I definitely wouldnt order the insulation extras again - better to get it yourself, Ive doubled up the floor insulation over what was supplied as it helped level the floor with the twisted bearers and my concrete base is raised and waterproof lined. The roof insulation as per instructions is weird and doesnt actually cover the whole roof - The waterproof roof lining as supplied is actually a bit of dpc sheet , which was torn and didnt actually cover the whole roof . I had some left over from my base , so I used that . I was hoping for something better , as I see some suppliers do rubber membranes etc. I havent put the felt shingles on yet , and may not as Im not convinced that nailing hundreds of holes in the roof is going to increase longevity. I might go rubber with a 25 year guarantee! My doors didnt line up and there doesnt seem to be any adjustment, but a couple of washers sorted it and I can now lock the doors. Also the hardware supplied such as screws / door bolts etc are of the cheapest possible grade . I threw most away and supplied my own - the bean counters try to save money , but you do get what you pay for with metal. All in all, it looks good, and Ive had lots of positive comments. If I had just thrown it together as supplied with some parts as supplied, I dont think it would have looked as good . Also , I recommend having some Quick grips , as these helped sort out and line up the twisted timbers, with a rubber mallet, but it was still hard work. We also used a ratchet strap at one point ! We were also one roof plank short but I sorted that out myself . I only had a few days off work so I had to get it done !

Couldn't be more pleased.

Extremely pleased with the design and manufacture of the log cabin. Everything fitted as it should and the quality of fittings like window and door handles was far better than expected. No pieces were twisted and warped as sometimes can happen with cheaper products. Delivery team kept me informed as to the date and time of arrival. Overall very, very pleased

Excellent service

Excellent service, helpful in carrying pergola into the garage. Now are garden is nearly completed, the pergola is in place. Very good quality, it took two people to assemble the pergola, everything went into place perfectly. So pleased with the results. We would and have recommended this company.
